 A challenge to decoders.
What is this logo hiding?

I just watched "Now you see me." A really entertaining movie. ARG- players will feel right at home in this flick. So much so that I found it amazing I could not find any reference to it on this forum. (Or I overlooked and I would gladly be corrected.)

Also the ARG related stuff makes me wonder about the logo used in the movie. It makes no literal sense. I mean a logo usually says something visual about what it's for. Even though (for example) for the life of me I do not know what a mermaid has to do with coffee the image is clear.

This logo is anything but clear. So I assume this logo is a puzzle. But how to solve it? Let me know what you think.

First, please do not embed an image that is wider than my monitor. (Make it an attachment instead, if you don't have a local copy to shrink.)

I don't remember thinking anything was ARG-related when I saw this movie when it first came out. I've been meaning to buy it to rewatch some day. I also have a vague memory of wondering about the logo myself, but feeling like I did get a reveal within the movie of why they chose that design. Again, I do need to rewatch it to remember why I came away with that notion. A quick google search did not bring up an immediate answer, but I'm certain you are not the first person to wonder about this.

Sorry about that. I made this post in a small screen PC and did not realize it was actually that big. Thank Pixie for the assist/correction.

They receive a mysterious card that leads them to an apartment where they agree to do all kinds of tasks to possibly (they even admit doubt here) enter a secret society. And never does the puppet master show his face... until it is well and truly over. It had an ARG feel to it for them. Not so much the viewer.

I had the same expectation. A reveal about the meaning of that logo. Did a search on the web and only saw some really unconvincing idea's as to the meaning.

A street map, a key, A plan for a building. It all fails to convince. Not that I have anything better but that is why I came here.

Maybe a melody? I'm not so musically schooled I could divine a tune from this but....
