[PG2] [META] Questions about Project Gateway

I have a feeling that more people than those that have posted already have questions regarding characters and the story from the original Project Gateway. If you're new, or if you can't remember a detail from PG1 that you feel is important to PG2, feel free to post your question here, and someone who played PG1 will surely answer it to their best ability.

However, before you post, please check the old (and restored by Sequoya!) Wiki at:
http://wiki.unfiction.com/index.php/ProjectGatewayWiki
to ensure you can't answer your question by yourself!

{edit of the thread topic, making it a general questions category -- catherwood}

hmm, I know absolutely nothing really about Mac, so I don't know if this is just me being noobish, but, I know index2 should let you do most if not all of the linkage.

at the bottom, you can see the cells by clicking "Cell listing", and who was kept in them (members of section 32.)

With Command Prompt, you should get a javascript box popup (allow popups if you can with just this page, so you can do that stuff) and type in the various command prompts we found throughout the game, to get to the puzzles, or further information (usually transcripts of conversations or journals of the baddies).

And to get what it really looked like, go to key description, then back to the frontdoor (link at the bottom of the key desc. page). This will get you to the site we most frequently were using in PG1.

I can't find any 32nd notes sites in the mix. Or anything for infocyclone, so it's not the game in its entirety, but is is the entirety (right?) of the Project Gateway site.

Quick question. I can't find the answer on the wiki, and the search function says nothing, either.

Anyway, the "prison" link at the home.comcast.net/~projectgateway page is still active. However, instead of this movie I heard about in chat, it's now a male saying something. The audio's been reversed. Is this old? If so, what's he saying?

Edit: Unless that is the movie, and I'm just dumb. Which is a distinct possibility.

Yep, that's what you used to hear. I don't know why people called it a movie, it is a flash really with some reversed audio. Definitely always worth asking, and you're definitely not being dumb Smile

I believe when played the right way round it says '"If there was one job, well, part of the job, you could go back to, what would it be?''' - it sounds a bit like a therapist interviewing someone, perhaps one of our characters.

There's more info on the teaser here, if it helps.

EDIT - in fact, you can hear the audio the right way round here!

Following that train of thought maybe it's someone being treated for their RSD at the Project Gateway Social Services in Pottsville? (sorry, been lurking most of the week and even though there are so many other things I should be concentrating on, I find myself coming back here again and again Embarassed )

But I can't help wondering from the poster, that was retrieved, whether these Social Services are connected to the "good" guys or the "bad" guys (or maybe they have no relevance for the "game" at all)? I mean if someone were to suffer from this RSD, wouldn't that in this case be a good thing, and not something that needed to be treated especially with the mirrored text on the poster talking about finding the truth as a Gatecrasher? On the other hand the slogan for the Social Services is "Help us help you", and the Historian seemed to say something similar in the chat. When asked if Sector 32 needed help again, his reply was something along the lines of you need your own help.

Have just been wondering, could easily be I'm seeing things where there is nothing Smile

Oh, and just one more question. Has the time for the opening of the Project Gateway Social Services in Pottsville always read "check back in 2 weeks"?

Yep, I think that is probably a fair assumption. It would make most sense, anyway.

I'm not sure who is being treated, but the creepy heavy breathing always caused me to think it was a "baddie" Smile Interesting points... we are all certainly suffering from RSD Wink so maybe we are the ones "in need of treatment"... or perhaps it is a hint to us that Section 32/the "baddies" are suffering from RSD, and this whole Project Gateway thing was in their heads. Who knows, but that'd be some twist to pull.

Yep it has said that since April... irritating, huh? Wink

Well, it never said what date that two weeks were from.

I'm voting for two weeks from April 23rd, 2007.

Obes.
