I've got a postacrd too

Hi,

I'm new to all this ARG stuff. But it looks well fun

So I bought a couple of packs of perplexcity cards, and I got a postacrd with 'em.

Sounds like other people have also. I was wondering, is there a resource somewhere where we can go and compare notes? Shuld I scan the card in here, or is there somewhere else to go?

Cheers
BB

Welcome to unFiction

Did you look at all the different fora we have for the discussion of Perplex City? (yes, it can get a little confusing at times Smile )

/me points BoardBloke in the direction of the puzzle card forum. Enjoy Smile

EDIT: I got my package this morning (after getting home last night and seeing the "Package available at Post Office" notice in my letterbox - obviously after the PO was closed Confused ).

I got all the stuff you guys mentioned... I got the cards #013, #042, #054, #089, #120 and #145 (1 red, 2 orange, 1 yellow, 1 green and 1 blue) in my unopened pack, plus the signed card 013/100. Woo - near the top of the list Smile.

And, lastly, a "pleasurecard" fFrom scarlett. If you aren't fFamiliar with the pleasurecards, they are essentially very very pretty, half-size, customizeable business cards. The pleasurecards have nothing to do with perplex city, in itself. The idea being you can have something really sharp and clean and neat and handy to tuck in your pocket or wherever when you go out, can whip one out quickly, it looks sharp, you look sharp, and people want to not fForget you. So MindCandy bought a hundred of them with scarlett's contact info on em. lists her email, her blog -- and her PEP number. Another handy thing about pleasurecards is the PEP system. Every user on pleasurecards has a PEP number, which is printed on your cards. if people fFeel so inclined, they can look up your pep, to fFind out other information about you. Ergo .... you can look up info on scarlett using her PEP, 4U34FB.

They must have got more than one hundred because I ordered a set of the firebox pleasure cards pack and there was a scarlet pleasure card in the box with them.

Finally I got some piece of the action here in Managua, Nicaragua. Got my package yesterday at my work place, but I've been a little busy to post it.

Same contents: several copies of cards #25, 27, 41, 89, 117 and 120; and a pack of standard cards. I also had 3 sheets of 4 stickers and a Pleasure Card.

Also received one Whispmart card with some writing on it: 023/100 (wooho), and signed "Jones (or James???) 05 ad???". It's curious that some people got that text "enjoy x" or something, while others don't (including me). Are we positive that this is only a signature and there's no puzzle there (besides the whipsmart puzzle, of course)?

Whoops. I've been concentrating on this other game lately so not got around to posting here, but I got one of these parcels like two weeks ago. Same contents as everyone else, I never noticed the extra info on the whipsmart card and I may well have given it away now but if I find out a number I'll let you know, and so far I've hit Durham (lots of tourists around just before term starts so hopefully that'll increase the distribution), Leeds and Manchester, as well as leaving some on trains going other places. Still got a few left though. As for my suggestions of places to leave them, well, I was just a bit cheeky about it without actually specifying anywhere to put them, but of course I was kinda justified..... Wink

Well, that's surely good enough reason for anyone, but actually I just pointed this out Smile

Oh, and I hadn't given that whipsmart wordsearch away (though I've only got 3 left, so it was close) - I'm number 033/100, not that it seems to matter....

To seej or not to seej, there is the question. Of course you all must remember it was Seej who came up with the idea of distributing cards long before Scarlett did.
