 		Past 100k your chip turns silver. Past 25k it's bronze. Past 10k or below it's usually black. But take it from me, if you wait long enough with like 3k, it'll update and you won't have any chip at all. I say bronze becasue gold wouldn't make any sense when the next step up is only silver, unless t's supposed to be platinum.

 		re chip color - my second day, when I was slightly up on chips (maybe +1000 or so) from the day before, my chip was bronze when I showed up. (i.e., nowhere near 25K) But I soon lost the surplus and then logged out and back in and then my chip was black. That evening, from home, nobody's chips were showing. I'm thinking the chip thing is not working quite right.

Well, it doesn't make sense, but that's the way it is. When I started I looked up the name of my coin icon and was GLDcoin or something. And I didn't play any poker back then.

 		Okay, here's how to get the Mark of the Joker

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

You must preorder the game Gun at a store (or online see here: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/257361.asp) which carries the bonus "Deck of Cards" for a preorder. I suggest calling ahead to do see if they have any in stock, as to not waste your own time. On one of the Jokers in the Deck of Cards, you'll find the Mark of the Joker code. Enter it, and instant goodness.

This code seems to be one use, per deck. So no sharing apparently.



I have not done this myself, so I don't know the rewards. Hopefully rose will come shed some light on whether anything special happens post unlock.

Also, give J5 lots of credit for being the first person I saw to mention what this game is for:

Today at Electronic Boutiques, I saw a poster for GUN with a poker hand on it. I noticed it because j5 had mentioned GUN as the game LCP is promoting. I asked about it in the chat room.

In chat, strifey (I think) said that he thought the mark of the joker meant that it was a code on the joker that came in the deck of promo cards. I decided to try it out. (Note: neither EB that I was in had anything posted about there being a pack of cards for a promo.)

I pre-ordered a copy of GUN and got the deck of promotional playing cards. There is a code number on one of the jokers. I entered the code and got the Mark of the Joker.

as for the deck -nothing else I could see. No mention of Last Call Poker at all, which means that people who pre-order and get the cards, but don't know about LCP will be wondering what to do with the code. Sapagoo found a post by someone in another forum asking just that question.

as for the mark of the joker -so far I haven't found anything special, sapagoo said that the mark may just give more chips on reset.

And total credit to j5 for his insight. To strifey, sapagoo, etc.

My idea is that this game isn't just for GUN, but it is for the xbox360. The story here also has a strong gang element - which indicates to me that it is about more than just GUN - and could refer to another Xbox360 game. (there is one called True Crime New York City releasing in November) The trace of the WWII story could also be another Xbox 360 game.

If the live event schedule is any indication of when the game will end, it is very close to the date the xbox360 will launch - November 25. The game GUN will be out well before that date - November 2nd I was told.

So that is my spec. Another Microsoft venture with the PMs. Smile

Cuz, I know that they typically don't give out promo products until you buy the actual game. Meaning until you get the game you don't get the deck of cards (at least in most stores)...

So just to check, this has happened, and that we know someone who verifies it works?

I gave my code to a couple of other people to try and it didn't work for them. So we verified it is a unique number.

 		I had to put a deposit down to pre-order the game. They had the cards there and gave them to me right away. One store was already out of decks of cards.

 		strife, the online sites state that you preorder, you don't get the pack until you get the game. So, that's why I wondered.

B - How in the world did those other players figure out to pre-order the game, go to the site, and punch in that #????

 		wow, yeah I'm imressed the early mark-holders somehow figured it out. Methinks there might be an EB (or similar store) employee or two who know what's going on...

Called my EB, and they only had 2 decks left. Will be getting one tonight. I'll put the minimum down, so if the game turns out to be accepted as crap before release, then very little lost.

I've always liked Westerns anyway.

I am pretty confident that one of the other players works for the company producing the game. The other three? Who knows?!?! Maybe they are just smarter than us.
