I guarentee that nearly everyone is using Windows XP. There might be a few Linux geeks in here, though.
It's probably something weird with your connection. I use the Windows pop up blocker and it never gave me any trouble.

I'm using XP and have no problems. I am also using Firefox instead of IE, but the issue probably lies in your security settings. I believe the table script is using port 8080. If you want to post the exact error you are getting, perhaps I can help you out a little better (also what browser you are using, and how you are connecting to the internet).

Make sure you have Flash v. 8
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/
Are you in IE or Firefox?
If you are in IE, make sure your version is current.
If you are in FF, then try Mozilla...it works dandy for me.
Let us know if that works or not.

okay... so, I'm using IE... got version 8... all the error says is 'Can't not establish Connection with Server'... and I am connected to the internet via wireless network... does that help??

There's a thread on non-Mac computer problems here , so I'm going to lock this one just to keep things organized.

Has anybody tried to get onto a table only to be told that you are not allowed to play or watch on that table, even though you can get onto others? This has happened to me a couple of times and isn't making a lot of sense.

It's quite possible you're running into the same problem as is described here (scroll down five or so posts). It seems that when there are a few bots at a table (with no humans) the room can get locked. See the thread for hypotheses.
If this isn't the case, you might have a new and unique problem on your hands!

I've been noticing that my profile continually shows me as online, and in Table Posse.
The browsers I've used to play poker have been completely closed and opened multiple times, and I've played poker at many tables other than that particular one.
Anyone else have this issue?

i had some weirdness when i tried to change tables
i was sitting at table A, clicked on table B, then went back to leave table A, but it removed me from B instead! the window closed, and table A's graphics took over the table B window
very frustrating

The poker tables are down for maintenance, with no word of when they will be available again, for anyone that is wondering why they can't get in.
edit: nevermind, it's already back up.

Hopefully the Mac kids can now play without any workarounds.

Anyone having any problems with getting in the lobby? Anyone know if more "matienence" is happening? *hoping it means another IG character will emerge at the tables*

done with this Ok -
So today I have been kicked by server trouble, unable to get back, frozen in the game, unable to chat in Personal Messaging, unable to rejoin a room and otherwise hampered. I know part of the problem may be in my computer RAM. But until I can upgrade, my frustration level is too high to keep trying.
At least I have learned enough to play at a basic level.

Rose - there was something going on last night. Either site maintenance or just hammered from too many hits - I couldn't even get the home page to load on my office comp which is otherwise fast and has tons of memory.

ARG.... Okay, I've tried getting into the poker on *both* partitions of Zero (Red Hat Fedora Core 4 and Windows XP Pro). I just updated my Macromedia Flash (it was 7, now it's . I've made the site trusted on XP Pro and set trusted sites to low protection. I've ensured Java is installed. I've tried both Firefox and IE.
Why am I still unable to get more than an "Unable to connect"? WHY?!?
Help? Please?
