[QUESTION] Fellowship of the Dead on Top Players Page Just aimlessly checking a few things out (and quicklinking to a few ARGN folks to keep them at the top of the social page) when I found the following on the Top Players page (http://www.lastcallpoker.com/topplayers/ ).
Quote:
FELLOWSHIP OF THE DEAD
Running Errands for the Great Hereafter
There don't appear to be any members yet. Have I been completely blind and missed it every time I've checked the page so far, or is it new?
*awaits trouting*

Hi cynarion
Actually it's been there all along, but it's very easy to miss because it's right there at the bottom with no content. We suspect it has to do with the live events.
I'll rename this to [QUESTION] instead of [NEW] because it's not new

Well dude, while this could potentially be troutworthy, this is a No-Trout-Zone (the NTZ), so no fish will fly here.
However, I still think this thead is valuable as we try to figure out the purpose/meaning of the Fellowship of the Dead heading. So far (IIRC) we have had no information in this regard, and being where all the other important info seems to be, one would assume this is also going to be important later in the game.
So while your question/notice may not have been completely informed, I guarantee you that the topic will live on. So thank you, and glad to have you playing alongside the rest of us slobs.

I was originally thinking it may have something to do with Mark of the Joker/Secret of the safe, but that seems not to be the case now that the mark has been found by 2 people (who arent talking)

speculation/answer I speculate that the Fellowship of the Dead might be a mark given to players who show up for a game of Tombstone Hold-em.

One tomb to rule them all,
A decent flop to blind them,
One dead man to bring them all,
And in a gothic twist, define them.

Have there been any instances of an actual dead man's hand being dealt?
(recorded hands might save the day, since recalling individual poker hands, well, it's a pain.. :) )
The Fellowship Of The Dead thing has been bugging me too.
( is this even the right thread?)

[SPEC] FELLOWSHIP OF THE DEAD: Running Errands for the Great I speculate that "FELLOWSHIP OF THE DEAD: Running Errands for the Great Hereafter" refers to tasks such as finding Victor's hat, as discussed at:

I was dealt it once. Went all in and won on it too. It was just a practice game, no characters there.
