[QUESTION] hidden text in images In Firefox when veiwing source of this image I saw strage symbols which aren't normally in a header, but DO NOT show up when the image is veiwed in note pad. The symbols?
5 symbols for female
2 symbols for female
an empty line
2 symbols for female
They wouldn't paste. These symbols aren't veiwable in txt format, but are in all the image headers I found on the site, but on no other image headers from other sites.
Now, what it means? I've no idea.

Those are most likley miscelaneous ascii characters, that are just random occurences in any non text file being interperated as text. Just to be sure though, I'm downloading firefox to check it out right now.

Ducky? I couldn't find anything interesting in the header - except the word "Ducky" ?!

Yup, the male/female signs are most likely just random, but I also noticed the "DuckyF"...
Anybody run accross anybody named Ducky with a last name that starts with an F?

male symbols I pulled up the sorce code on a male avatar. This time?
Male symbols.
I know I'm new at this, but CoffeeJedi agrees... seems a little too... All the avatars have male symbols in the header area.
The IGC? Have both...
of course, maybe I'm just hoping.....

Another thing about those images is that these words:
"earth was without form and void"
are lightly visible on the image of the book pages. They are from Genesis, but I can't speculate the connection yet between that and the embedded symbols.

The word "Ducky" often appears in many photoshop images. Apparently, it's an Adobe artifact of some kind.

On the subject of "Ducky". This is something that shows up in a lot of digital images . I don't know why, it just does.
I remember seeing and mentioning it during ILB and somebody said it was normal. So I tried looking at some random pictures I got through google and there it was.
"Ducky" seems to be some kind of ARG rite of passage.

This may seem off topic, but stick with me...
In "Treasure Island", when they're on the island and the crew (which has mutinied according to John Silver's plan since he was put in charge of hiring the crew) tips John the black spot. The spot had been cut out of a bible, because that was the only paper they had with them.
If these instructions had been from when they were created, during a war (presumably a World War... I'm guessing #2) then it would follow that the only paper they may have would be a bible.

there's what looks like a bullet hole through the outside edge of the bible (near the top of the pages)

except in this case, the bible only caught the edge, the bullet still would have killed the owner

I opened it in Notepad2 -- it doesn't look like there are any embedded images.

do a "view source" (yes, that's right) on the image in FireFox. its weird, but it works (why firefox even lets you view the source of an image? yeah, no clue)
ok, well... at least we have a thread for any potential hidden image information now

On a whim, I opened Dana's blogspot pic from ilovebees, and it's got lovely male and female symbols too. I really don't think there's anything more to this than random symbols, although I certainly could be wrong.
ETA: then I did a GIS for "picture," and viewed the first result, a random woodcut image . Also male/female symbols.
