i know but what does that have to do with the puzzle

That seems to be the general question.

Gunslinger: It must have something to do with that "blackandwhite" game, It fits very well with the photo on level 35 ...... Then again, it could be a deversion...... I wonder if the 8 35s mean anything? I will post any leads I find

I wonder has anyone thought about the plotting of a chess board?

It seems a good idea... maybe it means a position on the board.. a combination of letters and numbers..

There's an irc room for anyone who wants to work together in this:

Does anyone know if the moves in chess are expressed as number-letter or letter-number?

Hmm... I wonder.... Is Black and White an rpg in which there are buildings and stuff? If so, perhaps the answer is the name of a church in the game? After all, the signs say "We worship Frvade at this church"... Which church?... Just a hunch, could be nothing. However, I don't think that the chess has anything do do with it because if the black and white stood for chess pieces, he wouldn't have bothered to capitalize the B and W. I honestly think it has something to do directly with the game. *shrug*

In relation to the chess moves I meant the layout of the board. They use letters and numbers to designate the lines and columns in the grid.. so the moves would be (I'm not sure of the order, letter-number or viceversa..):

a1 to a2, for example or if it was the knight it would be a1 to b3.

I was wondering about that order, if the moves are like the examples above or with the numbers first and then the letters..

It is always file (letter) then the rank (number).
There are also many Notations in chess.
One is the International notation which is:
e2 e4 e2 e5
g1 f3 b8 c5

The other is quick notation which is:
e4 e5
Nf3 Nc5

But as mentioned earlier this puzzle does not seem to have much to do with chess. I am much more intrested in a church name in 'Black and White', or something along those lines.

Hmm... I have played Black and White the game and succesfully completed it, I have tried using some of the names of the gods who host in the game such as Khazar, lethys and Nemisis.

Neither of these seem to work...

But i dont think its likely to be anything to do with the game in general as your not expected to have completed Black and White to be able to complete Frvade surely?

I have just been thinking and one of the clues in the source says:

toomany35sisfun.jpg

After having just got my chess book out and chess board, i have discovered that each sqaure is 35mm and the overall board is 350mm...

maybe this has something to do with the answer, Im still searching for a way to link this to sacrificing within the game...

Heh, random comment:

This reminds me of when, In Harry Potter and the Sorcerors (spelling?) Stone, Ron was going to sacrifice himself as one of the chess players in order to get through to the next task to keep Snape, whom they thought was trying to steal the Sourceror's (spelling?) Stone (though it was actually Lord Voldemort who was trying to steal the stone) from doing so.

Heh heh... I have ADHD, and my mind tends to wander =P

There are 8 35s in the page... maybe this means to count 8 squares in the chess board looking for a certain piece or position.. If the clue refers to chess anyways..

Level 35

Chess openers

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the game Chess their is one type of opening move that is called Frankenstein-Dracula Variation. Frankenstein and Dracula are two old moves first showed in Black and White. Don't know if this might help at all but it is a lead. I think.
