[UPDATE?] The Sentinel - 20th? February 2006

Noticed Letters page was updated but not logged here. I imagine this was done the same day as the Anna interview. Other headlines also included for posterity.

CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE
Your recent interview with Roll for Damage lead singer Alejo Jackson, in which he mentions the band's intense recording sessions and how they recorded the day that the city discovered the Receda Cube was missing, got me to thinking. Jackson mentions only three employees of Hesh records, but does not even acknowledge the many other people that it would have taken to put the album together. The Viard album released recently on Earth was accompanied by no form of credits or acknowledgements, simply that it was by "Viard" and produced by "Hesh Records", yet I'm sure many people put a great deal of time and effort into making the album. Here on Earth we have a custom of giving credit to the people who worked on things, with albums having a sheet inside containing the names of the performers, producers, and engineers who worked on the album, and several minutes of on-screen credits are added to the end of film and television works. It would be nice to learn such details about the artistic works that we are seeing come out of Perplex City, as I am sure the people behind the scenes are just as talented and worthy of recognition as those in the public eye. How about giving credit where credit is due?

INQUIRY FOR PCAG FANS
As a member of the Earth Cube Retrieval Team, may I say I am wildly enthused at the prospect of playing in the PCAG event, planned here on our blue planet. I get an utter sense of jubilation at the prospect of engaging in the proud and noble tradition. However, I am a bit nervous, specifically, about treading on the established traditions and practices of proper PCAG events. My question to the populace of Perplex City is this: are there some things which Earth players should plan on doing, saying, wearing, or otherwise engaging in, in accordance with the tradition of the Games? Of course, I imagine some disgruntled Earth-haters will probably say "Live in Perplex City." But short of this, any advice? Jazz-hands perhaps?

COUNCIL INFLUENCE BOUGHT?
I, for one, am terrified that as unpredictable a group as the Recons have had any major impact on our city's government policies. These religious extremists have long refused to co-operate with the mainstream of society, even going so far as to isolate themselves from our communications infrastructure. Why should people so far off the beaten path be allowed to dictate the actions of the City Council just because they have the lecks to throw around?
