[QUESTION] Massive sums of chips and reset times?

One player on the Leader Boards has topped way over anything anyone else could possible have done by now with 507,550 chips with some change. Now thedealer page says that every saturday all the chips are reset, so did that happen and if it did, how the hell has this guy jumped in chips so quickly?
Thinking a possible Pm, or cheater.

The game started on Saturday. But I am with you in your bewilderment.

That guy definitely has done something to cheat the system.

I am not sure why you people keep saying he's cheating.

I mean, he's an ass, yes, but as I understand it, he keeps buying the pot before flop. He goes all in all in all in all in until he wears everyone out.

He might have also twigged the bots, too - some of their behavior is apparently predictable. Get a few good hands, and you could raise them into oblivion.

I say, until he's either bored with the site, or perhaps administration bumps his account, that you all agree to simply leave any table he arrives at.

(I haven't run into him yet, but I keep hearing about his methods - it doesn't seem impossible to me for him to have winnings that huge)

I have a friend who's father works for a major online poker site, and Krystyn is correct.

His play style is consistent with what I hear about all the nubs in the free area who don't really care about their chips because they're not "real".

He doesn't care, so he'll go all in just for a pot of 30. And you do care, so you fold because it's not worth it. He just got lucky a few times somebody did try to call him on his BS, so it payed off for him. It doesn't always.

He's a goofball. Just leave the table when he shows up.

he's on pretty constantly too, or at least whenever i've popped in. He does seem to play against only bots a lot too.

*shrug* I wouldn't worry about it. Like HHM said, just ignore him.

I've played with him, he's actually a pretty nice guy and wasn't doing any of the things you're describing Oo; (presuming we are talking about J_dot_J)

When I played against him, he wasn't going all-in at all. It was disappointing.

RE: [QUESTION]Massive sums of chips and reset times?

I played several hours against J_dot_J yesterday. At one point, I was up $78,000 (a combination of earnings from J and others folks at the table).

When everyone else left (because they lost their money), I went head-to-head against J. Thinking that J was bluffing, I eventually lost all of my money.

J typically only goes all in when he has good cards, like the ones explained at:
http://www.lastcallpoker.com/forums/18/ShowPost.aspx
J rarely bluffs when he goes all-in.

Besides...With a cash reserve this week, J can go all-in and not worry about it Smile -- Lloyd

The thing is that he's never bluffing. He's always getting the best cards. That shouldn't happen.

Maybe it's just me, but whenever I see the leader boards and see that name "J_dot_J", my mind starts to travel down a path..

J.J

James James.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it and need some sleep Very Happy.

I lost to J_dot_J because I played too liberally. It was my fault that I lost my chips for the week. I don't blame anyone else for my loss but myself Smile
