We just had a conversation with mg about the package(s) that toby received and the responsibilities of a scribe..

MountainGirl asked me to transcript it and post it here..

Here it is:
Quote:

10:54 PM <Atrophied|MUD> ok.. how does Toby put up the pages? Wink
10:54 PM <mtngirl> Part of the Scribeship entails certain responsibilities. That's what
we signed up for
10:54 PM <mtngirl> He receives direct instruction from Iz. (truly another person and
the real PM)
10:54 PM <mtngirl> he follows the directions to the letter.
10:55 PM <draghkar> are the letters handwritten?
10:55 PM <mtngirl> some are
10:55 PM <Atrophied|MUD> why doesn't Iz put up the information himself?
10:55 PM <draghkar> those would be interesting to see, even way after the fact
10:56 PM <Atrophied|MUD> he obviously knows how, if he's giving such explicit
instructions.
10:56 PM <mtngirl> Because Toby is a Scribe and Scribeship carries responsibilities
10:56 PM <mtngirl> Iz is busy with other things
10:57 PM <Atrophied|MUD> ok, so are YOU going to start creating web-pages for Iz?
10:57 PM <mtngirl> no
10:58 PM <mtngirl> why he contacted Toby in the first place well, first.
11:00 PM <mtngirl> Any other questions? I'll be away for about 2 hours. I have to pick
up my daughter.
11:00 PM <Atrophied|MUD> ok, can you detail what these 'responsibilities' are? I didn't
see any mention of them on the sign-up page.
11:00 PM <mtngirl> Scribes are contacted with their responsibilities when they are
needed to do something
11:01 PM <Atrophied|MUD> right, so in other words you have no idea what you're
signing up to be a part of...
11:01 PM <mtngirl> Ok, then. I'm out. Blessings Abound!
11:01 PM <Atrophied|MUD> bye Wink
11:01 PM <shylilembrace> later
11:02 PM <draghkar> blessed be
11:02 PM <mtngirl> By the way...Be watching the scribe pages:wink:

greetings,

Draghkar

Because sometimes things have a habit of changing, here's Rowan's scribe page from this evening.

So am I the only one who thinks Law of 5 should have been made a Scribe? Yeah, I know Toby and Orkid have ragged on him for his negativity, but he's contributed as much or more to the game as anyone, has had amazing enthusiasm (when he wasn't being downcast), and this game kinda needs him, I think. At this point, Scribeship might be the only thing to bring him back.

Ah, well, just a though; wouldn't be my first unpopular opinion; I'm a Marxist, too. Razz

Just got in to work, what with Hurricane Wilma and everything. Going to catch up on things, but I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do much for the next couple of days. Water seeped in throught doors, and a window smashed by a golfball. So, I'll do what I can when I'm free.
