Imp method...

Like the messages on conn.html, this one is also backwards. Once its reversed its just straight substitution.

You guys blow my mind. Seriously, how do you figure what to subsitute where? Is there a simple way to figure a list, or is it just guesswork as to which letter represents what?

I think TPrime did the hard part in an earlier message when he figured out what represented spaces and periods. Its much easier to crack these with spacing. I assumed this one was reversed because the text was right-justified (like the messages on conn.html) and spaces follow periods, not the other way around. (I don't know if it was just to be nasty, but there is a period at both ends of this message! I dropped the leading one when I posted the decoded message.)

There are 43 characters in the coded text (they use a space for "), which usually indicates that upper and lower case letters are coded differently. With the spaces and periods in, I ignore the first word of each sentence (to avoid capital letters) and break the rest the normal way (common letters: "e","t", etc., single letters: probably "I" or "a", and common two and three letter words.) Once this is done, I apply this to the entire message. Its then pretty easy to guess the capital letters and other punctuation.

I then go and bang my head against a wall until I feel better!

So are we assuming that conn.html and imp.html were using the same substitution (at least with spaces and periods? I thought that the $ was something important)? Interesting. Has anyone cracked twofish.html yet?

Still, I'm in awe, man. Simply in awe, and hope to learn your skillz.
