same here I'm firewalled at work which means no IRC for me

For those who can't take part, we're in a game in Perplex city looking for the ingredients to make the Elixir of Glimdrang. It's very easy to die, but currently Cassandra is doing spectacularly at making academicans laugh and finding flowers.

So far deaths have included falling over trying to put a ladder in a bag and bleeding to death from a reading a scroll (papercut).

MC are enjoying this.

So far, Riiick and Cassandra have managed to get the first ingredient (out of three) for the potion.

Unfortunately, the game though Riiick was doing far too well and promptly killed him!

At the moment we've got scrolls saying "CENTRE", "UK", "SKY", "ER", "HE" and "ST". Scott is in a maze, trying to get through the catacombs to get into the Academy, to get the Lens and possibly the book from the library.

We also narrowly avoided being bludgeoned to death by a well-endowed barmaid's.... assets.

For the record we received the clues MANCHESTER TOWN CENTRE SKY UK (rearrange if you like) and then a parting clue of sortails. There's a long log somewhere, good if you have too much free time and need a laugh. Or if you've never seen a silent fight in a library involving a sock puppet, two scholars and some silent ninja librarian assassins.

Well that was great, even if I wasted my two turns. (First time I had just finished eating, took too long to respond and was met with a swift death, second time I backspaced in the polarhome CGI client and got sent back a page. Not a good move Razz

) But eventually we made it.

The last thing we saw was a scrap of paper with a hint at the next adventure.

The end just said 'sortails.'
