Hey all,

Someone from lost-forum got an e-mail linking to the following site:
http://allenbrooks.atspace.com/

In the source is the following:
<This game has no official connection to LOST, ABC, or Disney. This is fan-run and the story told throughout should be considered fan fiction and not part of the LOST canon. This is merely something to do to hold those willing to play over until the hiatus is over. Thanks for playing. ~Lee>

Not a very ARGish thing to put in the source, but I guess it's sort of necessary considering the recent Lost hoaxes.

Anyway, this might get interesting. The connections to Lost seem to be few right now, but maybe it'll pick up.

Official Lost podcast today makes mention of an online "experience" beginning during an episode in May. The producers say that you have to watch the episode closely, "what happens between the acts of the show" to see how to get started. Sounds familiar? Where have I seen this type of advertising before? Maybe there will be a commercial for Widmore Industries during the season finale?

Also, there is a new Hanso orientation video that was mailed to someone on a disc. Check it out.

Everyone over there seems to think it is a fake. Looks kinda fake to me as well. I mean, speaking as if in a game most things are real because they are at least semi-plausable, then why would some random person who has no connection to anyone on the island, anyone at hanso/dharma, or thr numbers get MAILED a disc of an orientation video of an organization whose actions are being hushed {do we YET know why the heck the official abc hanso website went down???}... It doesn't make sense to me, since the trailhead is the show itself, and the clues to the webgame {the pod cast has already said} is in the episode itself.

It seems to make more sense that a couple of said person's friends {or not so much friends but people on the forums} are playing a bit of a hoax on him/her or him/her is playing a hoax on us.

As for the webgame, awesome. I wonder if the websites will stay up this this time... or if the hanso situation will be explained in some way.

I think the Hanso site went down for revamping. It all goes back to this
http://news.com.com/Lost+finds+deeper+reality+online/2100-1026_3-5918146.html
I think they underestimated the popularity of the online element, and took it back to the drawing board for a full fledged online experience, or ARG. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Well if you listen to the podcast they confirm the website is down for reconstruction and to be ready for something spectacular from it, and all but come right out and say there will be an online event that will last the summer and continue the storyline. They even say that after the podcast they will refuse to have any other comments about it, even go so far as to say they might claim they never even said this in the podcast, sounds very TINAG to me.

Yeah, here's a transcript of the part of the most recent podcast where they discuss this:

Damon: This is a question regarding thehansofounation.org by Zeke's Brother. Um, so what is the deal with the website? It's been down forever. Is there a purpose or am I missing the secret way to get in?

Carlton: Um, no. That's actually very observant. The, um, it's sort of like a ride at Disneyland being remodeled. The Hanso Foundation website is down for remodelling. And when it comes back up it is going to be awesome. In fact, we are actually, um, we are going to kind of let you guys in on a little secret. We're involved in a project which is going to, um, involve the internet that's going to start, uh, in May.

Damon: [i]In May. But you're going to have to watch the show. Um, and not just the show but what happens in between the show.

Carlton: Between the acts of the show...

Damon: Sort of fairly carefully in order to sort of begin the path on this. What we're calling it is an experience.

Carlton: Yeah, and this internet experience will actually be launched, uh, during one of the shows in May and it will be a pathway that will lead to, um, a lot of information about the show that we're not going to get to on the show but it's not just a sort of ancillary, unrelated...

Damon: Yeah, and it's not behind-the-scenes stuff either. It's like...

Carlton: It's real mythology.

Both: Cool storytelling.

Carlton: Which, hopefully, is going to, in some degree, satisfy the desire for new material on LOST over the summer. I mean, you know, during the period of time when the show is down before the start the next season, we are actually going to be telling some LOST stories.

Damon: And since you're, you know, listening to this Podcast and taking the time to sit through all our insanity and stupid jokes, we're letting you know that we're doing this. But once it starts, we're going to completely be denying any involvement with it whatsoever. So you can actually come to us and go "hey, I'm playing this Podcast back for you where you guys say you're responsible," and we'll go "what are talking about?"

Carlton: "We're not talking about that."

Calrton: We won't deny it, we'll just say we can't comment.

Unfortunatly, not everyone {such as me, heh} listens to the pod casts... we do tend to get left out of the loop, so you will have to forgive me for not knowing anyone was informed about the hanso site.

I'm excited - i've been waiting for them to DO something.

I hope if they do have an ARG or similar type experience over the summer, that they do not underestimate the speed at which fans devour information. I can't believe how fast Sledgeweb decyphered all that Latin!

And we know that we won't be left in the dark for too long as to what the map means, the May 10th episode is titled ?.

I am getting more and more excited!!! I love sledgeweb - it was a bit slower than usual last night getting clues up, but i guess now i know why {when i went to bed, it was just the basic image, nothing written on it, and nothing extra like the latin interpretations - nor the other pics}

So, i missed previes for next week, but i think i taped them. I'll have to go watch and see what i can see.

Also, any idea yet on IF anything can be found online yet?

You can see the preview for the next episode here:

As for ARGish stuff, I don't think there's going to be anything until May.
