I got this phonecall right at the end of my class so I picked it up through the answerphone, and the volume was loud enough that I got some really freaked-out looks. Hell, -I- was pretty freaked out. She sounds a lot like someone I know. *relieved that it's ingame and recovering from a near heart attack*

I cant seem to find a club that might match the one Clara works at. im not even sure that she said. Ranches, Fransis, Ransis, something like that. Although i have found a Kings, Ace, and Joker clubs in santa monica...
As mentioned just above, it's "the Ranchers Club up above Santa Monica Boulevard." From "Certain Kinds of Soldiers " on Maurice 's profile.

Damn! Wouldn't it figure that I'd be in class...and my voicemail cut off the first part. Stupid school. Maybe I'll drop out so I can get my ARG phonecalls.

This arrived in VoiceMail today, and my provider allows me to forward to email. I'm only posting it because it sounds a little clearer, IMHO, than the MP3 posted earlier. The 911 operator definitely sounds familiar...

I didn't think that the phone messages left voicemails. Last week. I thought I missed it, trying to answer the phone in time and it didn't go to voicemail, but they called back in a few minutes.
So I am glad to know that it will go to voicemail. I know when the Operator called she would leave a message - but it was a sorry I missed you one - if you didn't pick up.

Here's my allegedly higher-quality recording of the same call. Mods can delete this if they feel this is superfluous...

Goodness, I was at a friend's the other night, in the middle of a game of Magic, and suddenly my cell says Unknown Call...
I picked it up and was listening, and after a few seconds of realization I kinda...
...man, this is embarassing...
I kinda teared up... in front of my friend and everything...
Made me go home later and pop in the ILB DVD just to listen to the thing... *searches frantically for the smiley that represents crying from joy*
Heh.. that'll teach me to sign up to participate in a new ARG without having as much free time as I did last year.

My 11 year old daughter took the call on my answering machine when she came home after school with her sitter. She was freaked out, but called all her friends to tell them that her dad appeared to be involved in some kind of emergency!

It would seem we failed to ask the proper questions to maurice in order to unlock this audio file.
So for next time, what would be the proper question?

I don't think that is what happened. The call came in before the tournament poker game. So it was before we had a change to ask Maurice any questions.
The past two Wednesday's those of us who put our numbers in our profiles - who chose to and are able to- got phone calls. I think it is a way the PMs have of maximizing interaction to people who can't be at the poker tables.

Yes, I still have the call on my VM.
I was thinking about the call from last week, and how it was the same as theunlocked audio in donaldmcphereson's profile. I don't know how we got that one.
So my question is: were we supposed to ask Maurice about Clara? Sandy? The other cleaning person (can anyone make out her name)? The name of the garage where he was killed? Something else?
Is it locked in a card?
Is Sandy hot? (She sounds hot.)

Sandy - its ok your doing fine Clara, the police are on their way.
OK, this is what I hear:
Sandy - ok good, can you check and see if hes dead? do you know any first aid? can you check and see if he has a pulse?
clara - i cant i dont want to touch him. im sorry but hes all covered in blood and.... Elladan(?) says she'll check him. Im sorry I can't
Sandy - its ok, your doing fine
(Elladan(?) says something in the background that sounds like "blah.blah. sodomized" )
clara - She says hes dead Sandy.
Sandy - its ok your doing fine Clara, the police are on their way.

oh J5
I think I get you now. Last night the dealer mentioned women a couple of times. I didn't think about asking about Sandy. I think we covered everyone else. I could only think of asking about the dealers wife. But it seems that we need to show that we have found information and bring that up in the conversation, not ask about new things.

Using the new copy of the 911 call off of Maurices profile, I can make out the other cleaning ladies name as Solidad. Hope it helps.
