I'm bad with timezones and such but I think I'm right on this.

Japan would be 9 hours ahead of standard time (Which England I believe is on).

So to get England time from Japan time, you must subtract 9 hours. So if the Japan time was 10:11pm (Remember Islington stated it was PM (don't think in 24hour time), then 1:11pm would be the English time.

I see, Jack. Maybe you're right.

Cross purposes all round. I was thinking you meant you were starting with 09.11 (a morning time). AND I was converting it the other way, starting with an English time and making it Japanese by adding 9.. Embarassed

Here's a theory that's been floating in my head, and I need either some backup on it or serious correction Wink

In Book Zero, our starting point has something to do with the statue based on Blake's drawing or the place where the image is pointing.

Then the next page is the closeup map with the Blake verse. So somewhere on that map is next location.

Then the next page is the metro image. So that stop on the northern line is the next location.

Then the next page is the Paine image with the key, so Paine's monument is the final location.

So would it make sense that Sunday is a scavenger hunt that starts with the location specified on the first London map and progresses through the other locations to Paine's monument? And along the way the searchers find clues about the notebook or the keyword?

And perhaps we can find the notebook with information that will be revealed after entering the keyword?

It may have been stated already...

According to:
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/MoonPhase.html#y2005

The moon will be full on 17 OCT at 12:14 (UT/GMT) If London is currently on Daylight Savings time (+1 hour) then that would be 13:14 or 13:13?

Time Zone link:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=136

Edit: To change year in link from 2006 to 2005

Edit2: That would be 9:13 AM Monday morning Japan-Tokyo Time

Gah! Wish I was in London! It looks like a lot of people are going to be there on Sunday... please take a photo or some video for those of us presently outside the UK!

From my point of view:

1. On the first map, Isaac Newton is pointing at our starting point at the Northern end of London bridge, adjacent to the Monument tube station.

2. On the second map, whereisi refers to where is Isaac, and he's outside the British Library in a statue version of Blake's painting from the first map. Euston station is close by.

3. On the next page, the Angel Tube stop is the location, although don't forget there's some Blake at the bottom, and Blake's grave is in Bunhill Fields in Islington.

4. On the Paine image, the location may be the Old Red Lion Theatre and Pub.

5. The last location is Paine's statue in Angel Square, specifically the western side with the key.

Just an opinion, but sounds like a scavenger hunt to me...

PS I need to check the full moon times - I thought it was on Monday the 17th... and what's the significance of Peel/Ravenscroft Day which is tomorrow (13th)?

I'm not so sure Dragonfly. How does the time that Iz gave us fit into it?
I suppose I could be the time to start or finish, but how do we know which?

Edit: Full moon is on Monday. Smile

re. the Full Moon in London

Definitely on Monday, just before 5pm:

http://www.croydonastro.org.uk/Twilight.pdf
(it's at 97% of full on Sunday and 100% on Monday)

also confirmed here:
http://users.ameritech.net/paulcarlisle/MoonCalendar.html

So, why is the hunt on Sunday, apart from the practical fact that you are all more likely to be free to run around London all day on a non-work day?

Didn't Iz say that he wasn't so good with numbers?
Maybe he isn't so good with time too.. after all he's trapped, blinking in time. Wink

I just wish we had a solid starting place and time to go from so that we don't accidentally miss it with all our speculation. But perhaps we will be given another hint by our time-blinking watcher friend before the actual day so he doesn't plant anything or show up for nothing.

I think we should back to the message from Islington Orkid posted in her livejournal:

"A number of cryptic wordstrings will, when the receptive mind feeds on them, will shed a faint crack of light on the mystery location
Kipper is right.
The passkey is in matter/place in Time.

Okay, all you "receptive minds" out there, let's churn these cryptic word strings a bit and see what we get out of them.

May I be the first to suggest an [INTERACTION][LIVE EVENT] thread?

I find it amusing how you have all moved away from the 54 page thread, and have subsequently made this one balloon in size. Wink

Man, I feel that since he singled out my name in that e-mail that it is a personal challenge to me. My mind has imploded upon itself so, no ideas are forthcoming.

The only question I do ponder is "Why does Orkid's LJ post say the day is October 13th when that is tomorrow?"

Hiya. Been reading, haven't posted before. Usually don't have anything new to offer. Read through everything, though. Wow, there was a lot of reading to catch up on!

Did anyone else notice Orkid's latest livejournal is dated tomorrow, October 13?
