Ok, so I would like to know, who all is going and how you are going to get there? Any Marta takers? If you're driving, any ideas where to park? Pretty much the only parking at the cemetery proper is just pulling over on the side of the road, but considering the people that might be there, space will run out.

I'm trying to make my decision if I'm just going to go ahead and drive. Hmm. And just to see who from here is going. Hmm.

I'm almost certain I'm going.

Imbri is looking into this for me too, but does anybody know what the neighborhood around the cemetery is like? Specifically whether I'd be safe walking back to my hotel roughtly a mile away North and a bit West on Piedmont afterwards.

I will have a car since I'm driving into town, but would like to not have to mess with parking if possible.

I'm pretty sure you would be alright, although Atlanta is very much NOT a walking city. If you feel uncomfortable or whatever, just tell me where your hotel is at, and I can hook you up with a ride. I think I've decided I'm going to go ahead and drive, and just push people out of the way to get a parking spot (or just get there early).

I've done some work hours juggling, and will now be coming into town friday around dinner time. Leave here by 1, allow five hours for driving and add in the time change, I'll be in town around 7pm Friday night. Crashing at Robogriff's hotel, then moving to my own hotel for Saturday evening. Heading home sometime Sunday.

Anyway, that's my plan and I'm sticking to it!

woo! people in town on Friday night!!!

I don't leave until dark & early on Saturday and would love to get together with those of you around Friday night. Maybe get a couple of the other locals (ahem Fireball & Sapagoooooo, this means you) to join in the festivities as well. Perhaps dinner and then moving onward and upward? Depending on numbers and cat allergies, I might even be willing to host a little poker party. What would y'all be interested in doing?

The hotel that Clayfoot, Griff, and thundah are staying at is right next to the D&B in Duluth, and I live about 5 minutes from there, so a gathering there is a definite possibility. Anyone else got anything?

If we can go to Dave and Buster's I will die happy.

I've been going through withdrawl since I moved away from Pittsburgh. Still got my Gold Card ready to go Smile

Shocked Outside the Perimeter! That's like a whole nother world for me.

Are you sure you all want to stay there, you're looking at a quite a drive to and from the cemetery in the best of traffic conditions and, let's face it, Atlanta isn't known for having the best of traffic conditions. Granted, I'm just outside of midtown and automagically assume that anything outside the perimeter is forever and a day away, so I could be a bit off by a day or so.

As much as I dread the journey outside, I could probably be talked into it if it means meeting y'all.

Oh come on, Imbri. I drive into and out of the Perimeter everyday. Geez. You are such a whiner. Although Friday evening conditions won't be that great, Saturday morning/noon/afternoon should be a-ok for driving to the cemetery. It'll be about 15-20 minutes, give-or-take. Not bad at all.

And Imbri, it's just right up 85. It won't kill you. Really. I promise. If it does, we are conveniently going to a cemetery the next day.

YOU try to get the nerds away from Fry's and D&B :-p.

It's not what scary things lie outside the perimeter. It is the journey that is perilous... or really, really ridiculously long. Pick one. Why can't people just go home and stay there? Very Happy

I know I can't make it, but are you interested in a Friday night get-together at the Gwinnett D&B? Everyone is welcome. Come one, come all, and get devilishly owned in an assortment of video games. Or not. Cool

Anyways, I think that is the plan, but the time is pending.

Just a reminder, if anybody needs or wants to act as a contact for this Saturday's event, PM me confirmation or your information as soon as physically possible. PMs go out Friday night. Thanks much.

Here's how it is.

The plan is to meet at Dave and Buster's (4000 Venture Dr. I-85 at Steve Reynolds Blvd. /Exit 103) around 7 on Friday. Time is flexible a bit, as I have no idea how long its going to take me to drive in. From there we'll play it by ear.

I'll have my LCP t-shirt on. Its black, with a chip on the front and "Make a Killing" on the back. So I should be easy to spot. If you'd like my cell #, drop me a PM.
