Changing roles

 		Changing roles
Does anyone think the roles are changing in our story - maybe not the way Lucky refers to people - but to the place they play?

With Clay dead does Simon become the preacher?

Has Kerry become the Sheriff and Don the Killer?

I started thinking about this when I was looking at the list of Matrix characters and their possible roles. It seemed to me that Neo went from Kid to Killer to Sheriff in the first movie (not to mention Half-breed, but I dont think we knew that for sure in the first movie) That Morpheus start out as the Preacher, but the Oracle takes over that role after we meet her; making Morpheus the Gambler at that point. I had Trinity as the first Gambler because she risks the agents to find Neo, the kid.

Not sure, but playing with the archetypes in the story is quite entertaining.

 		Clay has said that Kerry follows a code of moral ethics, he'll do whatever he thinks is the right thing to do. Kerry's said that he just wants to prevent people from hurting people.

Sounds pretty much like a sherrif to me.

Don and Kerry have definitely switched, probably somewhere around the hanging of Tony Viet. I think Clay's role could pass to another character, but I'm not sure if its Simon.

Could be Lucy, she has taken Matt under her wing, so to speak. Helping him sort out the mess his life has become.
