The new link on Simon's page refers to the gun as "the Jeb Stuart gun".
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A search for "Jeb Stuart" on Google gives a few sites about James Ewell Brown Stuart (known as Jeb Stuart) a cavalryman in the Civil War.
The first site is here
There is a link on there to another page where there is a mention of an incident involving a gun.

I have been playing with the obit in photoshop, and it looks like at the bottom it says "at the graveside". So far I can not make out much else. I get the impression it is part of another obit, superimposed to give the newspaper effect.
Yup, "at the graveside", that's what it looks. And at the very bottom of the obituary, there's something that could be "ch", repeated twice.
Maybe [WILD SPEC] it has something to do with some graveyard in Chicago?
Anyway, I'll attach a slightly enhanced version of the obituary.
EDIT Beaten to it. I think I'll leave the pic here just because the alleged "ch" at the bottom is more visible.

I was just about to post the same picture.
I saw the "at the graveside" too. Perhaps it's from another obit, perhaps not. But there definitely is some sort of stamp in the mid upper right, too, like letters reversed out of a black stamp...
We have a new name too: Mona, with a hungarian surname. Anyone have any ideas on that one?

Nevermind, the "stamp" is just "tua" from "obituary".

Maurice Pikar isn't "offline" anymore, now he is "dead". Maybe we won't be seeing him around the poker tables anymore?

No. He supposedly is some guy with the name Todd Wachowski or any variation of that last name.

Edit: And Astald found Sam before I did. I'm never gonna get a spade.

"Sam" from the update on Matt 's page. "Ligaya" from the writing on the photo on Tucker 's page.
And from Ligaya, we find Harry Nakagawa .

Harry Nakagawa is now up. I found him by taking Harry from the 2nd McPherson update (Payphone are...) and the Ligaya text. Then came the Police warrant for him.
Although he is alleged to know Viet, it sounds like he's the inside man in the LAPD for Mi Casa, maybe?[/url]

Hey, I've been on the LCP trail for a week or two now and decided I hit a wall and needed unficition help.
I don't know if I should spoiler hide my comments about the google search ....I'll do it anyway just in case
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I understand what you were trying to do with the google search but the only mention of a gun...had almost nothing to do with Jeb Stuart.....it was his grandfather on his mother's side that had the gun incident
