[WILD SPEC] Video color schemes

Did anyone notice that each video seems to have a distinct color scheme?

1. Robert's Hole Card, Lucy's Bluff -- Green.

2. Do You Like Documentaries? -- Yellow.

3. You Dirty Up Nice -- Either black or red, but I'm going with red because the predominance of black may just have been because it was dark.

4. Gonna Make a Killing -- White.

For some reason this is making me think of the Five Chinese Elements, especially since we're seeing quite a few Asians and our attention has been drawn to the fact that they are Asian (and because I suspect that one of the PMs in particular has a certain fondness for Chinese culture...).

Earth -- Yellow -- Saturn
Fire -- Red -- Mars
Water -- Black -- Mercury
Metal -- White -- Venus
Wood -- Green -- Jupiter

Garnered from various websites, "Wood" personalities are busy people who are good at what they do, but also are prone to wasteful expenditures.

"Earth" personalities are both idealistic and highly ambitious. They like other people to accord importance to them but are loyal.

"Fire" personalities are quick-tempered, charismatic and hypersensitive.

"Metal" personalities are organized, calculating, and tend to be very skilled at what they choose to do. They like an orderly, hygenic environment.

"Water" personalities are philosopher/thinker-type people. They take up multiple professions, and seek knowledge but prefer to keep it to themselves/are secretive.

I'm seeing a certain correspondence with the videos.

1. Robert's Hole Card, Lucy's Bluff

This was sort of our introduction to Lucy, who is both excellent at what she does ("an assassin at the [card] table") and prone to wasteful expenditures (she lost her parents' house). Robert is also prone to wasteful expenditures (he wants to sell the Gun so he can afford to visit the hookers of which he's so fond).

2. Do You Like Documentaries?

We meet Victor, who is both ambitious and apparently idealistic. He wants to make documentaries, and clearly has ambitions as a filmmaker. As he's about to be shot, he somewhat romantically attempts to come up with last words for his girlfriend. I may be mixing cultures too much, here, but the planet associated with Earth is Saturn, who in other mythologies has been identified with both Father Time and Death, the latter matching Kerry's general role in the events.

3. You Dirty Up Nice

Spider seems to fit the quick-tempered and charismatic description; actually, both the girls get a bit snippy. Also, most of the video is an extended fight scene. The planet associated with Fire is Mars (war).

4. Gonna Make a Killing

We have a photographer methodically, artfully and calculatingly taking photographs of Lucy, while (also apparently calculatingly) talking on the phone as if he doesn't know where she is. (Also hygeine...bath! Okay, I'm kidding on that one.) The planet associated with Metal is Venus (sexuality), and nekkid Lucy is pretty sexy, as are the pics themselves.

I recognize that this is probably a stretch, but I was thinking about it last night while re-watching the first three videos, and when the color scheme for today's turned out to be white, I thought maybe it wasn't quite as crazy as it seemed.

Of course, it could just be the art of the video editor. Smile
