I unfortunately won't be there, but I'll be online with the support crew. I can supply a VOIP server (PBX server for those techies out there), and arrange a conference call set-up, with each player wanting in having their own 'extension number'. If you want me to set this up then please PM me.

Sorry, I didn't see there was already a topic about secure communication. And since I've never played an ARG before this one, I didn't know the accepted conventions like in-game characters not being able to read forums like this one. But there's still some way the Third Power knows we know about their meet.

They could be simply be monitoring their websites and logging all the IP addresses and the amount of traffic. Not too sinister
Not to mention the Receda's Revenge game... All of that was in-game as far as I know. Who knows how much we let slip there Come to think of it... I wonder if there were any in-game characters present there. Wish I had thought of that before!

I'm definitely going to try to come- I've missed way too many of these live events for one reason or another and this one sounds like it might top them all! Although pinpointing a slightly more precise location than 'London' might be helpful...

Ah, But what if it is WE who are Sente's Sock Puppets?
*ahem* yes, i should be able to play net-crew through IRC and whatnots. I haven't been sleeping well for two weeks and it doesn't seem to be shifting anytyme soon so i'll be up, perhaps alittle hallucinatory, but perhaps that's just what a group of people looking for a secret cult needs!

There is the merest of possibilities I'll be there, if I can convince my wife that this is a good idea and that everyone else there won't be lunatics...
I've missed too many RW events - should get to one sometime...

If you work out how to convince your wife of that, can you let me know how you did it. Every time I even mention PerplexCity I get a disapproving look

So October 22nd. Where/what time? I can be there no problem. My calendar is rather empty.

I will desperately try to be there, but that week is stacked full of work and very evil. Why did it have to be then? My current theory is that if I stay and work, then I'll just end up on irc anyway, so I may as well pop into London and have some fun with real people. I may not be able to stay too late on account of the fact that Cambridge is hard to get back to when you've missed the last train, but I'm sure I'll find time for a drink since it seems to be obligatory .
