I nominate AmberJoy for Best QL Whore. An amazing show of whore-ness by collecting 10-20 QL's five minutes before the reset, in order to earn her red skull. Amazingly impressive.

Can I nominate myself for best spec? That Kerry wasn't a lone gun man but worked for someone? That Maurice was killed because of the gun? That Don was involved? That Kerry was wiping out the other gang? That the stuff in the safe deposit box was key information? ( I could add more Wink )

But the best historic spec has to go to whoever decided that Al Capone's brother would show up in the timeline.

Maybe two categories?

Best mortography: Madamobrien - not waving, but drowning

Talkingest Phone Contact: would that be a pair? Would that be Spacebass and me? Or Krystyn and whoever she is with?

Best Time Period: Mexico 1914

Most miles traveled: jamesi to LA from Winnipeg

Biggest service to the community: wiki contributors as they were the only ones who managed to stay current with all updates

Best plot twist: Kerry deciding to rig the Gun in a way that both destroys it ( ala LOTR) and the curse ( by not spilling blood) -even more because he decided this because we convinced him he was not just a Gun. (and most of us thought he really was. )

or Amb rose bierce dream sequence death- which fooled us all

Wrongest Spec - that Kerry was a lone gunman working for good against evil

Best small favor _ Varin and her daughter cleaning up a neglected grave

Best Death: svetlana with the ice pick curtesy of Comrade Stalin which was only found in the poker table for the night train.

Best Dressed Character - Corazon Smile

Can I suggest other categories?

Best use of other media for updates - like the cartooons in 1945, the video plus music for 1914

Best puzzle or best solve - Ehsan for the first solve of 1945, omnie's mom for help with the russian, other codes?

Best drinkerer - William shiner Wink - bagsbee, imbri, scrappy and gupfee

I'm a little unclear on what the phone contact one means. But if its for 'best', then I gotta go with Krystyn. She put up with my confusion, frustration, and general not-knowing-whats-going-on-ness not once, but twice, and then got me as her contact today Smile

Just to clear a couple of the categories up...

Best Specter is the award for the phone contact that was the most helpful and relayed information between the live event and the chatroom well. (Legion of Specters was the name for the group of phone contacts)

Talkingest Phone Contact is the award for the phone contact that went most off topic while on the phone to a live event and of course, spoke the most overall.

And yes rose, you can nominate yourself

PS: New categories added to list above. I'm also attempting to get in touch with the PMs to discuss the idea of a "Gunny" reward on the LCP site to help you stand out. I have other ideas that could be useful....but I'll save them for the PMs (I'm not expecting you guys to contact me...but it would be nice, everyone loves PM backing! Very Happy)

Most Miles Traveled - imbri (total for all events she attended); SpaceBass (total and for Portland to LA) ; the person from Florida who went to LA ( I think that is farther than jamesi)

Award for most environmentally friendly event? - NY ( we traveled by train to the cemetery- walked to Mike's pub and back to NY by train)

Award for Favorite Character? - Lucky; Clay

Hey, rose, who made that spec that you have put down as the "Wrongest"? That award is more for the person who made the spec than the actual spec itself...

Thanks for clearing it up, MC. Yeah, put Krystyn down for best specter then.

Fastest typist would have to go to Leftbrained, who beat me out by mere seconds on KerryTucker and DevonBrown.

For Best Slip-Up, I am nominating Pancho Villa, since that was a slip-up that ended in my favor. I would also have to nominate Washington DC, since the PMs came up with a creative and fun menthod of correcting the mistake, which required all the phone networking and player cooperation skills we honed during ILB.

For Best Puzzle, I want to nominate both the Judiah Benjamin morse code, since it took us forever, and the San Francisco cypher, which had us all stumped until Ehsan identified it as a playfair.

I would also like to suggest a new category: Biggest Unsolved Mystery, for which I would like to nominate both the MSPaint letters "Loot" appearing over the Log Out button, and the mysterious disappearance of TheHouse2.

Jamesi definitely gets the most insane travel (16 hours in a car,8 hours in a plane, hotels in 2 different cities, with less than 20 hours left for: getting ditched for chicken & waffles, playing tombstone poker, drooling over Lucy, raising a glass or ten, and sleeping with SpaceBass - quite the weekend!).

I'm thinking Boston has gotta be further than Florida which would give the award/nomination to Avatrix.

Also, Lucy thanked us by giving out pieces of the gun for various things.
Most South-West = Celina (San Diego)
Most North-West= Jinx (Boise)
Most Central= Krystyn (Chicago)
Most traveled events= me (NY, Atlanta, LA) - woo! got the barrel! thanks so much Lucy!!

By individual event, I'd say...
SF: Space
DC: Thunderclap
KC: ??
NY: Me
Atlanta: Thunderclap (dude, you are INSANE!)
LA: Avatrix w/honorable mention to Jamesi for travel time

And, for what it's worth, as the most travelled (total)... it was completely worth it and I'd likely do it all again. The tombstone poker, while a blast to play, was absolutely secondary to meeting some very cool people and visiting three very different cities & cemeteries. Each event had a very different feel and, in many ways, reflected the local culture.

Atlanta was truly Southern - very relaxed and on it's own pace and filled with a certain Southern Hospitality (provided both by each other and those that worked at the cemetery). The cemetery itself was absolutely beautiful and, on that level, it was definitely my favorite. Lucky's Special Favor was my favorite of the three that I did as we got to learn about ourselves & each other as much as we did those that were buried there.

NY was as crazy as the city itself, though much of that was due to the weekend more than to Lucky's wake. It was special for me as I was able to catch up with some of my oldest ARG friends as well as meet one of my dearest ARG friends for the first time... not to leave out all the new friends made there. The favor, itself, seemed a bit more 'busy' and 'quick' than the other two. While we took some time at each step to consider the person buried there, there was a lot of movement - up the hill, down the hill, over to there! over there!. Very much like NY itself.

LA hasn't really sunk in yet, though definitely stands out for the sheer number of us here. As great as that is on so many levels, it definitely provided a different feel to both the Tombstone Poker and, even more so, to the Special Favor. When I think of LA, I think of people attached to their cell phones, looking for the next move, and, in many ways, fake or staged. I certainly don't mean this as negatively as it sounds and don't think of us as fake, but so much of the special favor felt that way to me. I overheard some of the non-ARG players pointing out, in awe, our sense of direction and our determination and they were right. We were definitely looking at each step as what it would give us and how it would help us rise to the top - something that I often think of the stereotypical LA sort. It was also very much a staged and dramatic event. Several us had planned a tribute (in Haiku) to the game and to Lucky that was filled with all the elements of a great hollywood script - a touch of comedy, a bit of romance, and, of course, the action to tie it all together. After the haiku, there were some incredibly moving stories about how much the experience meant to people (a moment will stick with me for quite some time). While the story of our day was coming to a close, you just knew it wasn't quite over yet. So it was on to the radio play and, then, the shocking entrance of Lucy provided us with a most perfect hollywood ending.

All the events so special and so different. The memories created, the friendships made (or renewed)... yep, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

I honestly didn't mean to ramble on like this.
