I've only recieved to game mails today. One from Law, the other from Graeme. Law's was just a request for the map. Graeme's was just a reply in a series of emails not really pertaining to the game.

If Izlington has been trying to email me it hasn't been getting through. I've emailed him four times and not recieved a single reply, other than the one from Toby in the very begining of the game. I'm in the dark, as much as the rest of you.

The flash movie on the menu page IS called "circadian".

It appears as if the man is going back in time to childhood.

Googling "Circadian time travel" gives hits to jet-lag and crossing time zones. Perhaps this is a reference to the "America" theory of the from the cover of Book Zero?

holy hell, it never occoured to me that it could say "america" anywhere on there. That's a great idea. Well, if it's near me, I'll go get it, lol. I should prolly submit a valid address to islington now, lol. Does anyone know where I should send the email?

Well, I have a question. Can someone cross reference the address from the voice message, the sherlock holmes statue, and the Dylan Thomas thing? I guess the address from the VM is a community center, is anyone able to go to any of these places at all and poke around? I think we've missed the 9 am deadline, lol, but I am so curious, about that, and the pics graeme got. We should prolly follow up on these all a bit more.....If I had the time or the internet knowledge, I would. Also living in the UK would help, lol.

Phone message is:

[automated voice] "Nine a.m." [man's voice] [unintelligible: "work?"] "For future reference: The 1A Community Centre opposite" [pause] "St James' House, Vine Hill EC1" [unintelligible - ? "thank you"].

The centre referred to is:

The 1a Community Centre
1a Roseberry Avenue
London EC1R 4RT
Tel: (020 7278 3393)

info from a list here: [url] http://www.locallife.co.uk/islington/commcentandhalls3.asp[/url]

Vine Hill is in postcode EC1, and is located in the borough of Camden (NOT Islington). Today's really tight for time for me, but maybe someone else can locate these sites on Google maps (http://maps.google.com

No London links in the book of poetry from Swansea, but Sherlock Holmes' statue is near to the Baker Street Tube station.

{the Full Moon is UP in London now}

Arjan

Hey just noticed when I checked google maps - Rosebery Avenue, EC1R 4RT, I know where that is. Our company's trying to sell a property on that corner.

My appologies for not really knowing where to put this. Mountain Girl recently got a document from me doing some photo recon of the path thats marked on my scribe page, hopefully she can pass it around a bit via email or the like.

First thing to consider:
Quote:
I know this is old hat but have you seen this link?
Though they probably showed you this during freshers week.

From my first email with Triscal. There was no link in the email.
Still, this makes me think that its possible that the key being referenced should be so well known that we'd have heard about it during our freshman orientation.
Second:
google has a nifty little feature that lets you search entirely within a university's webpages.
To search for all things colgate, http://www.google.com/univ/colgate
Third:
The word "Key" has an uppercase letter in my scribe page
...so does the word "Hope"
Fourth:
Colgate has a list of traditions, most notably that a student's first kiss will take place on "Willow Path" (or willow bridge). The "X" is on Willow Path.
Fifth: In order to make the movie work, you can either select play, or click on a building near the path. That building is the Case Library at JCC.
Sixth: Here's some things I got from searching:
http://www4.colgate.edu/scene/sept1999/around.html
Quote:
A new Maroon Key
In a quest for a name to unify the various student and alumni volunteers who support Colgate's student recruitment effort, the admission office has revived the club known as Maroon Key. Founded in 1931 as a junior honorary society, Maroon Key has not been active on campus for about ten years. The idea was to reclaim a Colgate tradition.

Maroon Key members of the past hosted prospective students, gave tours and performed other service functions on campus. By the 1980s, Maroon Key was known primarily as a campus service organization. Former recruitment-oriented functions were fulfilled by separate volunteer groups. As other student organizations began to fulfill the rest of the club's original objectives, Maroon Key faded from existence.

The nomenclature of school color and the word "key" is frequently used to designate admission volunteer groups that help unlock the doors to a school. "Maroon Key seemed a natural choice for us, for the particular history and tradition of the name at Colgate," says the new training handbook for volunteer tourguides, hosts, ambassadors, interns, campus liaisons and alumni representatives.

Something interesting from a page about the future of Colgate, http://www4.colgate.edu/scene/nov1997/campus.html
Quote:
The open foreground created by the lake and fields reminded Shea of "an Olmstedian Park. The dilemma was that [b[ the campus started and stopped at that parking lot behind the Student Union. Willow Path, College Street and Whitnall all converge at that spot. But when you got there, there was no there there." [/b]

As Shea and Morton walked the campus they began to develop a sense of buildings organized along the contours of the hillside. "The key to Colgate was understanding topography," said Shea. One element of their plan became a "Transverse Walk" that will follow the contour of the hillside from the administration building (Colgate Hall) to Dana Arts Center.

...And thats all I got for now. So what do you guys make of it?
