There was a second hidden message, found it in the source code:

If anyone should find this message, please get word to Sandra Rafflethorpe of Palm Avenue in Lewiston, Idaho that her sister, Sally is alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they're getting worse...Sally

WOW!!!!!!! That script page has part of the show that didn't air! A full description of the monster!

Edit: If you go to the flight tracker and put in 815 (the Lost plane) it gives you the info of the plane. However it does say that it arrived?

The scene desribed wasn't actaully IN the finale that was broadcast - which is why it says "NOT YET".

I am totally addicted to this show. Just hoping it doesn't go the route of X-files and gets lost in its own mythology.

I'm wondering if this is an actually ARG or a means to keep rabid fans occupied over the hiatus as there is a section in which you can sign up for updaters from the writers under "Island Insider".

You can also just click on the 815 flight after searching for it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also you can click around on the seating chart and it reveals various characters from the show.

This is neat. I love Lost, it's such a great hour of escapism.

not getting my hopes up just yet, but maybe in a week when i'm entering withdrawal from the show...

it is just me, or is that seating chart extremely SLOW to load? I'm sensing a server which might not be prepared for the kind of traffic the fans will generate.

Also, i've clicked around, but I've only seen Charlie's seat light up. I know Hugo was in 20G (and H), and Dr. Jack was in 23A, but those aren't activating anything for me.

seating chart

you need to click in other seats to get the seats with people to light up...

for example, clicking on I8 lights up seat 9F which is Shannon Rutherford's seat... clicking on hers gets the island map...

Looks like there may be more to this...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you eventually get to

http://www.oceanicflight815.com/

(from jack's seat)

You can sign your E-mail in and you'll get a message:

The Island is Waiting...Be the first to receive an update to join the full Island experience.

So this looks like it might be more than a time waister.

I only started watching Lost in the season finale. Interesting show.

I've signed up on that oceanic page (found it before seeing it posted here), and we'll see where this goes!

The season two teaser trailer is hidden there, too.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From the seating chart page, click the row numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 and it will launch.

Much like the show itself, there's a bit of humor sprinkled in with the heavy stuff.
