08:20 RMT, 09:20 CT, 10:20ET, 15:20 in London, and still no Jackalope, nor any clear idea what's happening on the Full Moon Morning, or if anyone is going to go (DeadDude? Graeme?)... Are we heading for a meltdown again? If you don't want this thing to fall over in a big way, Toby, NOW would be a good time to send the map to a larger audience, before it's 2L8... Unless you want to wait until the next Full Moon, by which time we will all be SOMEWHERE ELSE...

I just got to work Law, give me a minute. I just sent you a PM. Calm down.

Edit: Alright, will someone tell me what's going on. Law is now MIA, his last message to me said I had the map, because Duckie found the keyword. I've scoured all of the pages here since I've been gone, and I did not find any mention of the keyword being found. If someone could kindly tell me what's been happening and why Law is so freaked out, it would be most appreciated.

Edit 2: Nevermind. I found "wishlington." So I'm supposed to have the starting point. Islington chose the person who's on the most sporadically to give you all important information? He said it himself that I'm anachronastic. Sorry, I just had a long weekend. Mondays Grr.

Right, it has been decided it might be a good idea for me to do a better job of explaining exactly what happened at the meeting last night. So I'll try do a better effort than I've done so far...

Basically yeah went first to the Paine monument at about 10 past 1 yesterday afternoon. Met Graeme then, but nothing ended up happening. I went back after we'd waited until about 25 past.

I wasn't going to go again in the evening for various reasons, but then Graeme posted to say he wasn't going to make it, and i decided at the last minute I'd better go or we'd be left until the next full moon or something.
So yeah, arrived at Angel about quarter past 6. Walked towards Angel Square, saw a guy on the street hitting a metal plate for music, who I later found out to be Toby. Sat in Angel Square until after half past, but nothing happened. So, I remembered the guy I'd seen outside the station had had a teapot, so I went to see if there was anything interesting there.

Once I was back there i still couldn't get myself to approach the guy, until i saw a vibration13 logo on the weird triangle thingy he had in his lap.
Basically said "Sorry, I see you have a vibration13 logo there" and it went on from there. He said to sit down, and almost immediately handed me the book. Just sat there for a while, and then showed me the block of wood that had the keyword on it. After that we talked about things like what the game meant, and oddly, the state of things in Zimbabwe (I can't remember how we got there but I told him I'd lived there.) After that, some of the homeless from around came, basically to ask for a smoke, and ended up sitting with us listening to the triangla music. Talked with them, and Toby discussed how this was real humanity.

Then, yeah, basically, I got up, as it was getting time for me to go. We gave our regards, and parted.

Sorry that's a bit vague around the end, but it was a strange experience for me.

Well, I don't know if is just me.....but I did not remember you calling the instrument a 'Triangla' yesterday.

look here: http://www.vibration13.com/triangla.html

some other descriptions pulled from 404'ed links: "This is Triangla, a new type of drum based on ancient indian classics, the Tabla and the Ek-tara. The Triangla are built to a distinctive triangular shape, made from birch plywood and paper. The single string at the back of the instrument, tightened to pitch by the tuning key, picks up the sound of the drum-beats and this sound is passed through to the electronic pickup. The sound is thus a combination of the drum beat and the resonant frequency of the string. Changes to the pitch can be made by pressing on the drum skin, and diverse and exciting musical patterns can be easily formed using only the fingertips."

For what it's worth....

Carry on....

(my apologies if this is redundant info) Wink

I might not have. I couldn't work out how to spell it, and couldn't find the site Toby mentioned on it. Someone pointed me the right way in chat.

About the audience feedback form TDD received....the pic of the guy at the top-it's the letter I with exist written inside it. "I exist". Should we email the address on the feedback form, with that pic, and ask them the name of the character/actor? Who exixtx? lol. Also, on the train ticket, it says 7:10, do we know if that's just toby's ticket from the ride over there? and it says 11 to 28 or something like that(my notes are all jumbled as usual), but is there something off significance on that route? my guess is if we can find a place that has more than one point of significane, that's where we will need to start, until Iz sends jack the map. Idunno, my whole post may be the result of too much caffine, so if it is, just disregard, but I feel like these things are connected in the back of my mind, I just can't seem to figure out how. I think we should do more with the pics that graeme received.........

ok on the feedback form there is a ticket stub or something from "the return" by reg cribb.

Happens to be that this play is on soon in the old red lion theatre.

here some details:
Quote:

Tuesday 25 October - Saturday 26 November

Birmingham Stage Company presents:
The return
By Reg Cribb
Directed by John-Paul Cherrington
Starring Alistair Scott-Young & Natasha Beaumont

Set on the last train to Fremantle, The Return is a dark comedy that opens with two recently liberated convicts killing time by harassing fellow passengers. When a young girl boards the train, she quickly becomes the target of their attention. The Return was inspired by Cribb's own experience of two men terrorising a girl while people stood by and did nothing. It first premiered in Australia and won the Best In Adelaide Fringe Award.

"Exceptional drama. A pressure cooker ready to explode" Sydney Morning Herald

The Return is the second play by Australian writer Reg Cribb; it won the 2002 Best of Fringe Award at the Adelaide Festival, and was shortlisted for both the 2001 QLD Premier's Literary Awards and the 2003 Edinburgh Fringe Festival Assembly Award. It received critical praise as a "tense, funny and moving work" . The Return is currently being adapted for the screen under the working title Long Way to Freo. Reg Cribb's other plays include The Chatroom and Last Cab To Darwin.

Australian actor Alistair Scott-Young comes to London to re-create the role of "Steve" for which he received great acclaim in Australia. Playing "Lisa" is Australian actress Natasha Beaumont series regular paramedic Rebecca Green in the hugely popular Australian medical drama All Saints. Natasha will also be seen with Cate Blanchett in the major film Little Fish premiering this autumn. Elizabeth Elvin plays " Maureen", Will Irvine plays "Trev" and Neal Foster, Artistic Director of Birmingham Stage Company returns to the stage to play the role of "the Writer".

Directed by John-Paul Cherrington, whose first production for the BSC was their acclaimed production of Collision, now heading for the West End

Produced by Birmingham Stage Company who this year celebrate their 13th anniversary. Resident company at the Old Rep Theatre, they stage three productions a year, including a national tour. Last in London with The Dice House, the highly successful version of Luke Rhinehart's cult book The Dice Man at the Arts Theatre in 2004. Other work this year includes the world's first major stage production of The Jungle Book, Dominic Leyton's acclaimed debut play Collision, the world premiere of Horrible Histories by Terry Deary and the first major production of Michael Morpurgo's award-winning book Kensuke's Kingdom.

and again the number 13 comes looking around the corner...

greetz,

D.
