[TOURNAMENT] October 12th, 2005

Just starting a thread per yanka's request, to have something more appropriate for this upcoming tourney.

My humble suggestion, is that we start with the post stating that J_dot_J will not be in the tourney as he went to zero chips. (As that is the first definitive "next tourney" post, IMO).

Please continue discussing "secretaries" and actual conversations from the tourney here.

(EDIT: Also, note I have used the "tag" [TOURNAMENT] to differentiate quickly between regular poker tables and tournament play, so [POKER] can be reserved for character appearances within normal gameplay tables.)

Rex won... I didn't get all the hands recorded but I will get what I have up tonight if no one else can.

Nothing particularly interesting happened. I think we asked him just about everything we could, except for the 10-2/Doyle Brunson thing, which I managed to miss completely Rolling Eyes

I didn't record it, but here's what I remeber off the top of my head:
- He doesn't know Harry, Johnny, or Lothar
- He didn't give any info on Millie or Katarina
- He didn't want to talk about Jerry Twisted Evil
- He straightened out the Brown family tree, which Rowan has here
- When asked about the JEB Stuart gun, he said that JEB was kin. And that if we want to find out more, we have to do him a favor on Saturday.

During the first 40 minutes or so, I was asking him so many questions that he practically told me to shut up and let him concentrate. I happily obliged Very Happy

If someone does have it recorded, and wouldn't mind posting it here, I would greately appreciate it too.

Btw, Rex didn't really win - thedealer did. But Rex was declared winner as he was the last [alive] man standing. Towards the end of the game, I got the distinct feeling that Lucky just wanted to wrap it up. They probably could have shuffled that $8K around for another hour or so, but it just seemed kind of a pointless thing to do.
