Does this seem like a case of split-personality to anyone? Rolling Eyes

Rowan didn't say any mean things. RTFR. Rolling Eyes

Now I flip on the anti-troll-protective-shield and I shut up.

Nope...I was just answering his/her question.

And I think name-calling IS mean.

Every time I see someone misuse the apostrophe in "it's" like the post above, it reminds me that Islington does that consistently, and Toby did it today on his blog.

I's jes' sayin', is all...

It's (please note apostrophe) a common error.

Would not attempt to read much into it. Wink

Carry on....and on.....and on.....and on......

Very true--I'm just raking muck. Twisted Evil But 'tis a fact that the errors by Islington and by Toby happen to be very similar in their use cases. And Orkid has done it as well (albeit in chat, so perhaps forgiveable); if it were not so common an error, I'd be postulating that Triscal, Toby, AND Orkid were the same person. Alas, it's just too easy to find an it's that's an its in this world...

Ok my intention here is not to rock the boat at all but
has it been discussed already whether Orkid is from the UK or not?

Forgive me if it was but in reading Orkid's posts and chats, she acts as if she's native to the US, but here and there uses standard british colloquialisms. She/He/It either has to be from the UK or lived there for a long time.

I have lived in the UK and my husband is a Brit so those are my credentials.

Here's a few examples:

You're a Star. (husband says this all the time)

Lovely (maybe I don't know enough people, but I know NO Americans who say lovely as often as our british kin).

Adverts - granted, this could be intended

Well done to That Dead Dude - It's the way 'well done' is put in that statement.

holiday instead of vacation

he was well obvious looking. Saying things like that test was 'well hard' and 'I got well ill' are common.

I'm not trying to add fuel to any fire here, just thought I'd mention it. IMHO, you can't beat what this game has inspired in the people involved. I got a lot out of it just from the connections and the OOG ideas that have evolved. Whether it goes on or not, I have no regrets for having been along for the ride.

Nice work Orkid/Toby/Triska!

- Briggsay, I think I managed to get all of the apostraphes right.

It was fun while it lasted, folks, but I can't see how Toby's gonna get out of this one. Seems to me that Rowan was right, and it is time for me to stop waffling on the fence, as one unreliable witness put it. Maybe you gave me just the nudge I needed, OrKid. (To MG & Withe: do please take care of yourselves - if you sup with the devil, you better have a long spoon). To those who remain, I hope that you somehow do find Book Zero and that it's all you ever imagined it would be. Oh, and good luck with the next 13. If I ever pass this way again I'll check in on your progress, if someone can remember to leave a light on and a key in the door. Remember, you don't need Toby, this is THE STORY THAT WROTE ITSELF.

Till then, I'll make sure the latch string's out and the dogs are tied up.
See you on the other side.

Oh, and because you'll never earn one any other way...
This Trout 's for you.

I thought I had repeated myself too often, but apparently you managed to miss it. Wink
I suggested the same thing, but I'm not absolutely convinced of it.

@Law
There you go...Jackyll and Hide...
You created this thread and set a 7-day-ultimatum (yeah, I know, you did NOT set an ultimatum, but you know what I mean) and the other day you are the first to drop out of it??
Dude, you are funny! Laughing Wink
