It is perhaps overused, but there is no need for you to read it if you have no interest. Typically it signifies mumbling or whispering, so if used correctly, I see no problem with it, as much as it is used. Not trying to harp on you or anything, but I just feel that it is another tool. Personally, like it. I think every example I've seen of it being used has been correct.

Mind you, when someone posts only in small text, then I think that's annoying, but in general, if the main point is in normal font, and the "aside" is in small text, I have really no problem with that. It could just be me though...

I'm with Joe. Bugs the snot out of me. I don't have time to copy someone's teeny letters (assuming I can work up the dexterity to select them; they look like specks on my screen) and paste them into a text editor so I can see what they say. I appreciate things which help me streamline my time, not muck it up.

Fine, I can take the hint. Geez, I was only doing it because the other, cooler kids were doing it.

Hmm.

I dunno, I don't have any problem reading the size 10 font, and I sort of like it as an aside indicator.

I keep my font size pretty small to begin with, so having to muck about with either the page settings or ye olde cut & paste was beginning to get on my nerves a bit.

I hate the teeny tiny looks-like-dots text that you just CAN'T read ever, but I like slightly-smaller-than-normal text. It serves its purpose, just like bold, italics, and the like. It's only annoying when you have to go out of your way to read it. Although I suppose if you normally use very small text...

So, is this readable/annoying?

Under "Location" is size 10 font. The itty bitty stuff that people have been posting is size 6. Some browsers render it literally and some don't. Your screen resolution also makes a difference, but most everyone's at least 1024x768 these days.

I attached a screenshot of what it looks like in mine.

ETA: Omnie's small text is very readable on my screen.

My tiny font critique of your huge font critique about tiny font was simply a joke.
