Daughters

Daughters of the American Revolution usually refers to descendents of folks from the revolutionary war... for instance, the grand daughters of Paul Revere, just to pull one out of my head, which would still make it 1800's, so it could go either way.

From DAR.org (Daughters of the American Revolution Website):

Founded: October 11, 1890

Eligibility for Membership:

Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.

Maybe the founders are buried in this cemetery?

DOD?

Nearly every clue in the letter ends with "his DOD ". IT looks like we have to use the DOD's to solve the puzzle. We may need them in order as well.

The second-to-last page of the letter says that if the people get all of the clues right ( all the DODs and such) the host will play some poker for prizes. So, maybe not? If nothing else, there are supposed to be *8* cards. They all can't be based on the live game, right?

No, but he does say "first" of 8 new cards, so we may need that one to find the others.

The most famous founder of DAR was Ellen Harding Walworth, I wonder if the Live Gamers will find her grave.

Solving the live game puzzle will clue us into the first card (and I think Arana's right that it's going to be DOD based, given the "some people's days are numbered" clue we also received). The first card will lead to the other 7.

Also, I think solving the puzzle is going to trigger a switch of the website into Civil War era, like our last switch to WWII.

Agreed.

The first card will probably lead to a massive waterfall of names.

The Italian cemetery was in the same vein. We went on a journey... *Big Echo* "Back in Time" lol

Time will tell.

Also, someone said that none of the current characters would have been alive during the civil war. But...

SPEC: The Live Gamers are talking about another Brown

Lucky's Uncle Seamus wrote him a letter when he was in WWII.

Is it possible Uncle Seamus could be a new card?

Maybe the Gun was in Lucky's family before the war and was lent to Maurice for a time.

I keep checking these dates with the Historic Congressional cemetery's website. They keep rosters on the representatives and such.
Orin Fowler, Mass. Rep., died 30 Apr 1852

Why don't these match up with the field reporters?

Oh, and its almost time for the real Last Call.

Edit: ---- denotes something I simply couldn't read. A ? is when I was unsure of a word.

October 22, 2005

I'm going to take you on a little journey through the Historic Congressional cemetery

partly because I want you to think about the people there. About their stories. So each

stop along the way study the stories and pay your respects. Do it as a group and be

creative.

There are also a few dates I want you to take down, from the good people I introduce you

to. YHou'll neeed their DODs later tonight. At some of the stops, I'll ask you to look

closer, as to --- some far-off friends. So you'll want to keep the leaner specs you at the

brick vault handy.
At the very last, do the final favor I ask. Get it right, and I'll send you a sign.

Oh yeah- make sure the winning (hand?) of the Tombstone Hold'Em tournament your with you on the entire journey. You'll need their luck and competetive know how to get through the mission.

Instructions:

Lets sayyou entered the cemetery from ______ Ave. (something). You'd want to continue South on what I'll call _______ road until you reached the roundabout where the chapel is. And then you'd want to continue on foot from there.

Lucky got the gun in WWII from Maurice after Maurice took it off John Whitecloud to shoot Father Mueller. John got it from "Buddy of mine, son of an old Nebraska Lawman".

Lucky said that earlier history of the GUN would be "another story", predicted to be TODAY's.
