[two questions] I got an e-mail, is this worth posting?

Subject: Talking to the alien

Dev,

Zach called me. He all but admitted mom told him to call me and asked me about how I was doing about a bazillion times. He's got girlfriend problems. I explained to him that he has girlfriend problems because he's an alien and he keeps getting involved with earthlings and he wailed that she was a math major. Then he told me that girls should be more like me and I told him there wasn't even a name for wanting to date your sister. He told me I was sick. Zach is so easy to get worked up.

He offered to fly in just to visit. He could stay with me, he said, so that I wouldn't be by myself. I told him I was staying with a friend. I worry about him. You're a little obsessed with weird creatures, but at least you're equipped to live in the world and your girlfriend is amazingly normal for a person who studies oceanic stuff. But Zach is so.innocent. And here he is trying to take care of me. This is a little like having Spock take care of you.

I got something spooky in the mail. Freaked the hell out of me for a second there, to the point I damn near said, "Hell yes, come on out." But sanity returned and I'm dealing.

Write me more about the degradation of the ice shelf and the ramifications for the rest of us. It puts my life in perspective.

Is this a delayed e-mail everyone gets? I searched, and saw no mention...

My second question...is.... wow, my profile picture changed. What caused that? Smile It's as if the entire avatar page was cranked back about oh... a few hundred y ears.
I haven't played since the 9th, the day I signed up. I got discouraged when I saw the leaderboard (I don't often play games with leaderboards, I find them less appealing to everyone and less enjoyable for myself to follow other people playing a game...[especially when purchase comes into play])

Everyone who has given LCP an e-mail address, yes. But no one has posted it yet, so go you! (Ordinarily it'd go in In-Game Interactions.)

Really short answer: We're in 1929 Chicago now. Last week we were in 1945 Germany. The site and avatars have been updating accordingly. (This is our reward for helping Lucky at the weekly Tombstone Hold'em games.)

I feel silly now. Very Happy But then that's my fault for not following the game.
Thanks for the reply. Smile
