[NOT AN ARG] - Seventology - 777 There have been "777" posters all around Madison, WI. All of them link to this website:
http://www.seventology.com/
It has a countdown timer to tomorrow, and promises that on 7/7/07 something big and lifechanging will happen.
There have also been television commercials and print ads. Viral marketing?
Also, are there any other ARG players in Madison?

They posted their TV spots on the site here and here .
And I have seen them on TV, so they're not fake TV spots. The commercials are basically shots of Madison(one is of the Capitol, and one is of the lake). There are quick, almost subliminal messages flashing in each one.
The first one says "Get Ready Madison":
And the second one has a much more mysterious "Greetings Bruno" and a smiley face with seven dots, like so .::
Note that both messages flash at the same point in each commercial. I don't know when, but I will bet anything the time has something to do with the number seven.
Smells very ARG-ish to me....
It's good to be back at uF, I haven't been here for quite some time...
Nice to see people I remember from before- kona, I remember you from way back when I played Urban Hunt. Remember the Seventh Sons?

I also signed up to receive confirmation when the countdown runs out.
Looks like it could be the start of something interesting.
On a side note: does anyone know of a website that will validate an e-mail address to see if it works?
EDIT: After doing some scouting around, I found an outline of a plan to turn "University Square" (part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison) into a Health and Student Services Facility, which would encompass the 700 block of University Avenue. This would, indeed, include the address 777 University Avenue. A link to the article can be found at http://www.news.wisc.edu/10515.html
Also,
This may confirm having something to do with the construction of a complex. Although, the complex isn't opening until 2008. And why would a company promote the vandalism of city property via stickers? It's a mystery.
EDIT PART 2: There's a person named "Bruno" posting on the forums here: http://www.thedailypage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20194

Madison is only 3 hours away from me, so I am definitely excited about the possibility of an ARG type thingy that I could actually go to!
I'm gonna keep an eye on this one!

Just saw this on the site:
The wait is at an end.
We believe that where three sevens meet, good fortune follows. And the sevens converge at 777 University Ave., Madison, WI. There, a chosen few will live lucky in the city's newest, most sought after apartment homes. One person will live luckiest of all.
On our "Day of Perfection", 07/07/07, someone will win free rent at Lucky, up to $7770 in all. Lucky, indeed. Heed the call, Madison. Get the details at LiveAtLucky.com.

Ah, the puzzle trail to end all trails......another instance of 7.
I think 7 is the new 23.

Awwwww, so it's *not* an ARG?
Bah. I was looking forward to being able to do something here in Wisconsin. All we have for excitement up here are serial killers and cheese.

Awww, what a disappointment. They could have made this much cooler.
And yes, their ad campaign bears a striking resemblance to that of Hex 168 with the similar-looking flyers all around town, countown timer, etc.
Except I got a free 360 out of Hex 168.

Hey, now, the first payphone to ring for ILB was in Madison.
(IIRC)
We'll get more ARG love someday.
