Telepresence!!! We have the internet and so do they...
Hey, it COULD happen!!
Oh no doubt, but I'd imagine it would make for quite the boring match for the spectators

Who said we have to go there?
We've only been told to locate and retrieve the cube, and just make sure that it stay in the right hands. Nothing about going over to Perplex City.

Eheh. Sorry, Rob. We were talking about the possiblity of participating in The Games, and only humorously at that.

If it is difficult for you to attend such an event, please contact us to see if alternative arrangements can be made.
So maybe we wouldn't have to go there at all - sounds like you could participate in some of the events using webcams or something...

Im just throwing an idea out here, but if we could somehow contact a couple of competators, we might be able to get them to help with some of our puzzles

Back to business, the thing about this site I find 'wrong' is that we didn't learn anything from it, really. I mean, we already knew about the PCAG and (I think) The Games as well. The only thing that seems to be of even semi-importance is the list of dates we have, (and although it's been mentioned before, I find it very odd that they are in our dates. I mean, if it was a mistake, you'd think MC would have fixed it by now. They've been good for the dates on all the other sites...) which don't actually help us unless we actually can participate in the fututre, but even so it doesn't help us right now, and (from an OOG perspective) didn't really need a whole website to tell us...
I'm thinking there's something more here unless MC is wating for more people to see the Firebox ad before they update... My two cents, anyway.

I sort of imagined that site was one of their Earth-specific websites, with information specifically designed to enlighten Earth people. This may mean that we actually can participate in later games (in restricted ways, obviously), or that we will need to know the dates for a specific reason. But I assumed the dates were in our time because the site was published just for Earth to read.

TBCH I don't think we will be able to participate in the games. This site may well be a front-end to something new (like Receda Resorts == 3P) - but for Earth to participate in the games? I don't think so.

Maybe we will get to participate in a special exhibition match against some celebrity opponent (Cahill, Duncan, etc.). Perhaps they'll have special leitmarks for us if we win.

I still think we should watch out for a corresponding live event on Earth, to coincide with the the finals on Sat 14 Jan!

Hmm, I'm annoyed at myself for not finding the site myself - the first thing I did when I got the new Firebox catalogue was flick to the Perplex City page and look for any hidden messages. How I missed it I don't know.
But anyway, about the site, at the moment it seems to me that it's going to be used for something soon. There haven't been many PxC sites that have been purely for background information (Brotherhood of the Six, for example?), although since the long Receda website trail has just ended maybe we're just used to looking for hidden stuff on sites.
And once again, I fail to make any interesting points. Ah well.

I can't think of any obvious way that they could have a meet based on this, other than if they had an 'Earth-based' competition run by people from PPC but with Earth based competitors. Which sounds not only cool, but also quite improbable.

Looks like we could be getting tickets randomly, maybe putting priority on lower ranked pxc players
