Though from one of the remarks in the 3p groupware, they made it sound as if V's job was very mundane and dull, but I'm still skeptical about the veracity of the information from that site...

Why are we so quick to assume that anyone with the letter V in their name is "V"? We established long ago that V's real name won't start with the letter V, because The Advisor criticised "C" for having a code letter that matched their real name. V's codename starts with V, not their real name.

Or V's real name has something to do with the number 5.

Hmm. Shame about Q owning the 5 of cups bar. It would fit well with the V thing, maybe V works as a barman, giving him a chance to indulge his kink?

I'm not just jumping to a conclusion here, it just seems that mind altering, psychosis inducing music is the sort of thing the Third Power would do...
Besides, just because the Advisor criticised "C" for having a code letter that matched their real name doesn't mean V's doesn't. It could be just that TA didn't want to criticise V...

er, just for the record, I don't think anyone's assuming anything. hence the label "spec." assuming that certain concepts are established is the dangerous notion Wink

And there's always Fivebridge. Or the Holy Gyvann Razz which reminds me of a comment for another thread...

Just being on the cube retreval team wouldn't give them instant access to the cards on earth. Mind Candy are producing the cards so the 3P must have infiltrated MC.
Hm? oh, no no .. The cards were designed by Sente and the CRT. They did sign them and everything you know. So yes, being on the CRT does give one instant access to all cards.

And, in case you wondering, the new cards were written by Sente and Caine.

I think the cards found were in the standard packaging. Sente and the CRT design them, and the MC produce the actual cards (I think) and package them.

Edit: I thought I might be proven wrong on the packaging aspect - I still think that the cards are likely to have been produced by MC

To clarify. In the bag (card-wise) were about 50 packs of packaged cards (the generally available ones) also, loose were 4 unpackaged, second wave ones. Clear?

Thanks for the clarification, I didn't realise. Do you have a theory on their origin?

Do we assume the cards are designed in PPC and produced by MC, or they are made in PPC somehow. The existence of the blacklight writing suggests the are made in PPC, but they have no way of sending items to Earth that we know of...

Well The Third Power are here, so that means that People can be transported, so objects must be transportable. However, they are (storywise, I believe) produced on Earth. I seem to remember it being said that Mind Candy print the cards that are designed in Perpelx City. I think it's possible that there is a Mole in the Printing Press, but not in Mind Candy. Blurs the IG/OOG too much.

I think I just have a perverse desire for them to blur the lines. I like the idea that we might not be able to trust anyone. That the residents of PPC know of Mind Candy, and everything we are doing and probably think its funny (or are annoyed) that we think it is just a game.

Maybe it isn't a game, or then again maybe it is.

We only think of it as a game when we are out of role, often to get the best idea of what's going on you have to think in-game as opposed to our-of-game.
