 		GMail Invites
Since it's a constant thread in #unfiction, if you have Gmail invites to spare, post a message here. If you are looking for a GMail invite, do the same. With Google increasing the number of invites they are sending, I'm sure there are lots of invites to go around.

This is not *quite* on-topic with GMail invite codes, but is related enough and interesting enough to pass along. Someone figured out how the web page parameters and JavaScript works on GMail, such that you can craft URLs that link directly to a Compose page with the "To" address filled in. Okay, so what's the big deal, you ask? Under Windows, the application used to run "mailto:" links is stored in the registry. A little bit of registry tweaking will make GMail your default "mailto:" handler. Instead of having your web browser launch Lookout, Eudora, etc. for those mailto links, you can have it launch the GMail message composition page.

The same site has links to other interesting tools: something to forward Hotmail messages to GMail, a new message indicator for your system tray, etc.
