It would appear the 'matzai' are being used as anti-viral shields. Rather than the server becoming infested, the 'they' are providing someone else to absorb/intake these viruses.

It would appear the second taking occurs once they are 'full', or 'malfunctioning'.

As far as we know, they could be put back into the world, and just ill.

HOWEVER...

It seems some are forcibly doing 'odd' things.

Anne and some others are no longer under 'mind control'. I'm betting that that is the 'dreams' of screaming, they're causing the slaves to be pliant and calm.

Some are no longer having intakes. This would suggest they are on hunger strike, or incapacitated. Let's go faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar out, and speculate that the viruses are IN the food mush stuff. That would make sense, as there's very few ways to 'infect' someone in a closed environment without 'adding' something, in this case, the only thing entering is the food.

"Release of Memory to Full Extent " Most only have partial memory release. The human brain is like a computer. I would speculate therefore that Anne has had her full memories restored somehow, either gifted, or worked it out. It's therefore possible she is trying to end the process, by killing/incapacitating all the slaves. This is hardly the best option, surely.
The rest, under partial memory restoration, are like to have their memories encrypted in some way. IT'S POSSIBLE THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CODES.

However, we hold off telling people codes, except for Lisa, she's in immediate danger as outlined by the spreadsheet. The 'future' residents seem to be picked already. OR, the server is timeless, and people can be plucked from any time to serve in it.

Some observations in the list:
As "they" are at it for some time You'd thik "they" would know how to do the administration.

1.)No mention of the stuff they do but evidence that Obes is right.

I've very confused by all of this and am slowly sorting the information in my head. Trying not to make any assumptions or conclusions just yet.

Just wanted to mention: notice anyone missing from the list? Dr. Munchen was supposedly taken, but he doesn't appear on this list.

My guess this is a recent active-list. "Deleted"-personnel would not be on it. The list even states some people are on the way of being wiped. Dr. Munchen suffered his second taking (? at least he's not there anymore) some time ago so no surprise here.

But ,as you said, this is pure conjecture.

The Carl in the server DIDN'T send the email, he had no idea what it was. Not even what an Email was (see the start of the chat with him and me and Anne to see the quote).

That means although it's possible Carl hacked the MM site, he didn't send the Carl Stephenson email.

Unless someone's got their wires crossed.
