Other pics in the zip are scans of a book (presumably THE book)
Strangely: a book is basically cubed (6 sides) 4 sides are scanned and of the front two scans are in the zip.file.
Cept for embossed lines, dogs and stars there are no original markings on the book. However there are: white chalk(?)marks: mirrored questionmark (front) and a smudge(back)
black penmarkings: squibble and a line on the front
a [W] on the back next to it some smudges that could be a mirrored 41 or 14 or... nothing
1 yellow squibble
watterdamage
rustcolored specks commonly seen on old books.
Pic of the side:
The book is 8 'sets'/katern(dunno the right word) thick. Such a set is always 8 bound sheets. 8 x 8 x 2 = 128 pages of text. In the middle even the added page can be seen. Also the shadow of a left hand can be seen.
HE HAS GOT A HAND!!! Probably means he's righthanded as that is the hand he would use to start the scan.
Why write this as everybody can see it?
I noticed that taking things for granted is a surefire way of missing stuff. Describe what you see and find it will make things trigger when they become an element in a puzzle.
Why switch from hadwriting to semi-handwriting? ((((I just hope this isn't plotrelated the typeface dates way after WWII (80's?) and would make it a complete fake))))

Okay, how'd you get the zip open?
Never mind.....gah that ticks me off after spending so much time trying to figure out how to open it, and it gets fixed after I go to bed.

That is basically why i posted the pictures, so that everyone would be able to see them.

I think you downloaded a version of the zip-file which Jordan was still uploading, so you were not able to open it.

I just downloaded the zip file and there were 7 files in mine. There were the pictures of the book, and then the pic of the two pages and another file called "thumb.db" I don't know whether that has any significance (probably not knowing my luck) but I don't know what a ".db" extension is.
I'm having a blonde day!

@misery: (JFYI) A file named Thumbs.db is used by Windows XP. The OS stores various info about the files in this d atab ase-file, that are part of the directory and it stores thumbnails of the imagefiles that are also part of the directory.

ah ok I had a feeling it was a database thing, but I don't have XP so it didn't make much sense (Yes, I'm running ME.. it's the ONLY thing my puter will allow!!)

Okay stretching here......
Last letters of both chapters:
STEHTESTYDOSEEND ADEYAPOMWSNLHETS
Probably just coincidence but I though it odd that they begin and end in a mirrored 4 letters.
If you take the "halfway" as a comment....rather than using that line's letter:
STEHTEST DOSEEND
STEH TEST DOSE END
No clue...just blabbering....

Ok,
In the book munchen writes:
munchen wrote:
With letters sending themselves to certain places they must feel special.
After that we get a possible set of hints.
munchen wrote:
Born beyond belief is my path to help anothers. In life we all meet eachother at crossroads
In my discussion with Munchen, he said the following:
munchen wrote:
Find
Trace

Ok, prelim thoughts on this:
"Letters sending themselves to certain places they must be special."
This must be referring to some sort of password. and the movement indicated tells me we are talkning rot?
a path to help either another or others.
meet eachother at crossroads.
A path can be traced. So we need to trace a path and where it crosses there we will meet munchen. (maybe after using that password?)
So my question is, where do we start tracing
Where does the path start?
I have n oidea at this moment, but I was thinking that we might need to overlay the symbols scribble over page 66 and maybe we get something from that?
Anyway, these are my 2cts for now, I will try and work on it l8r once i am back home tonight.
Greetz,
Draghkar

I think it could be the way only ... what way? Missing and extra letters:
B the S.... anybody seen more? This set does not anagram... cept to "the BS" and thats no help.

Did anyone notice a new message where the original german ones were?
I could swear, there was no new message on the site yesterday morning, but the site got a new update yesterday. Now there is a new message asking
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Haven't You Realised?"
I stumbled over it by luck, because i typed "menace-media.com" into google and there it was. [OFFTOPIC:] Wow. Google is really fast with that. I'm impressed how quick they update their database.

Haven't You Realised Yet?
'Ream' is an odd word.
IN FACT... Dream is more appropriate.
I'd therefore like to speculate that D is another letter to add to the mix.
THEDBS - The Databases? Bedths Debths.. Debts H....
I dunno.
Obes.

I'm stuck on viewing the open spine of the book as the middle vertical line in the symbol, with the "crossroads" being the two intersecting lines of the symbol on the left and right pages (coresponding to the intersecting lines to the left and right of center on the symbol).
Can't say I've gotten anywhere tho.
