 		Only worry I have...

This sign is very particular. In the one you found, the three bars are all the same length.

In the one we're given the middle bar is longer than the other two flanking it.

It may just be a style.. or it may be a deadend, I dunno. It does logically fit though.

<edit> The first one you found looks like our symbol.

SO, it's very possible they're below the ocean, possibly on a sunk ocean liner or something. It would explain the 'metal walls' and 'metal floor'.. as well as the tunnel and wires.

Just a reminder:

When the site had the nonfunctioning JavaScript, there was something about Nov 5 in the code. Keep your eyes peeled today in case that date is still effective. Also, during my last conversation with riddlemask (Anne), I told her to count the days by mealtimes and be sure to have someone make contact on Friday, Nov 5. So be on the lookout for riddlemask today.
