Thanks Sphyn!

Now I'm stuck on 7 Sad

I did find the source I believe:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Google the phrase "Evil is tempting me, who will help me"

but I'm not having any luck entering username and password.

I also am thick, so those hints could still come right along.

I Google the words and found...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...references to a song called Serpent by a band called Genesis. Is this connected?

Thanks Sphyn! Very Happy

It was a word I didn't know (since English isn't my native language)... Embarassed

I don't know that it is a matter of not being familiar with English. A lot of native speakers might not know the term. Did you see what was missing in the picture? That was the key.

Hey all... Most of you are aware that I am all for giving hints on various levels to solve them, and I encourage that because some of the levels are quite complex. However, I'd like to request that you refrain from posting the actual answer to a level.

Again, this is a request, not a demand or a threat in any way. So please, enjoy the levels for what they are and I'll try to keep adding more so that everyone has something to do at work when the boss isn't around!

Thanks again for trying my riddle!

I am happy to respect that request.

Now for more hints. I need hints for #8. I know the pictures are
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the seven wonders of the ancient world
but then what? A hint on the Cerebral-x forum was about counting. I'm stumped.

I think a number of us have figured out the general idea of the answer--we're just stuck on the exact syntax. Still plugging, though...

Oh man! What a silly solve Smile

I was counting something else. I don't mean the actual method of solving is silly just the answer to that question is silly. Silly is good though.

I suspect I won't do very well on the rest of these. 2 and 3 were easy for me ( after taking the wrong turn and following the signs to oblivion) but the rest have been very hard on my poor brain.

Thanks akirator!

Ah, okay. The key to these things--which I keep forgetting--is to keep using all available tools. For example, it's quite okay to Google new ideas as well as given puzzle stuff. Rolling Eyes

Thanks, cat.

Stuck on 9

I wasted a rediculous ammount of time looking up info about the bus itself. I now know what route it is, and where exactly it is in the picture. But apparently none of that has anything to do with the puzzle. Here's what I have so far:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I found the original image, and the front license plate has been changed to read Feb 014. I've tried the following username:password combos - valentines:day, saint:valentine, and license:plate. A nice guy at the cerebral-x forums told me in a pm conversation that there is another clue in the image that I'm missing. I can't find any other differences between the puzzle image and the original. The only other items of significance in the image are the fact that it's the Bures 753 bus, and that it's 11:20AM. I tried 11:20 as username and Feb014 as password, and vice versa, but that didn't work either.

What am I missing?
