26 is easier than advertised. I have discovered that everyone comes up with 2 different ways to get the solution right away that just won't work. However, if you combine the two of them, and have a little faith that it can be done, the answer is pretty much handed to you.

Hi, I just started two days ago, and I've been stuck at lvl 11 for about a day now. I've got all of the eggs except the last one.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've translated the sign language into the alphabet

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Then used the vigenere cipher using the key "inyourhand"

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
After that I translated it using the Gronsfeld cipher and the key "05"

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I then shifted all the letters one forward (ceasar cipher)

Now I'm stuck ... Please tell me if I've done something wrong, and maybe give me a little nudge Razz I can't seem to find the last egg...

Thanks![/spoiler]

Well, I can think of at least 2 steps you're doing very wrong. But with only a couple days, you're just getting started. You have plenty of time to work it out still Smile

Randomly guessing isn't getting you anywhere. I suggest you start studying up on ciphers. This is actually one of the easier ones in the game and you'll need to know much more about them later. Wink

Thanks

I'm on the second part of 27 now. I see the picture and the name of the image and my brain is too fried to make a connection so I'll be going to bed now.

Thanks to everyone for the nudges and telling me when I'm on the wrong path.

Maybe some day I'll catch up to other people and be able to contribute... Very Happy

level 16

I need help with level 16 - please!! I know I am very close. I found the egg. I have googled and wiki'd:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. chromosome 16 p13.3-12.1
2. chromosome 16 13.3-12.1
3. chromosome 16 13.3
4. chromosome 16 12.1
5. chromosome 16

etc...

I thought my #1 query should have worked but all I got was 1 hit and that was in spanish.

I have also done similiar queries for Chromosome 22. I have tried over a hundred ailments and gene names (and their abbreviations) and came up empty.

I don't know if I missed it, didn't set my google/wikipedia query correctly or misspelled something along the way but I am ready to give up.

Pls help a lost and desperate soul.

Thanx

need help on 11

I too have looked through all the forums, and I need help still on #11. I started off by writing down all of the sign language down and now have a table with letters. Then I found the link at the bottom of the page. I read about the "Easter Eggs" or whatever, and to relate the cipher to what the 2 lines are talking about. I have no idea what cipher to use for Line1-2, I found out the lines from 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 I know what it is but I don't know the correct name.htm to use. Now that I found the ciphers, where do I go from here. This question was probably asked a lot and no one really gave a solid answer. People said "The poem will tell you". If this is the case then I have to use the letters I wrote down from the sign language and decode them somehow, right? If this is so, what order should I be using to get me started? Should I write the alphabet down from top to right in rows, or should I be reading them from top to bottom in columns... I think this plays a huge hole in my decoding. Please help me solve #11...

No you don't, and it plays a huge part in your decryption. The first egg is the only one that's even remotely tricky to find because it's 2 words.

Bobandyo: You may want to read up on proper notation.

YG22: The forums on C-X have lots of hints for how to do this level.

YG22 and guest_666, if you register you will get more help. We're not posting big hints on the forum and we can't PM you unless you're registered. Its easy and unobtrusive and you can quit anytime but you will get more help if you register.

Level 11

No Kirn, I really do know what 11-12 is.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A bit more than ASCII, ASCII is 7bit, so it's 8bit encyption, I don't know the name for it cause any name I found for it didn't work as an easter egg but I have the program sitting right next to me to decipher it. And 1-2 I found out was sign language, I just didn't really notice it cause I deciphered that before I found the poem.
I need help finding out where to start, and this isn't a spoiler, it's simply a tip. I tried possible method to get from 1-2 -> 3-4 using keyword
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
inyourhand
and it didn't make sense anyway I did it. Nothing but gibberish. Am I supposed to get a hint or at least something that makes sense, or will I not know until the very end?

level 16 - I read up on proper nomenclature but I don't see where that gets me any further. The syntax of what I need to query is given to me in the level.

Please offer up some more guidance.

hey

Your first query gives you the answer. Just play around with it but keep the text the same. Smile

keep something in mind, you found 6 eggs, that means 6 steps. if you code something 5 different ways, normally you aren't going to see clear text until the last step.

luckily Masque added a road sign, but you won't see it till you've done step 3.

Level 26 is totally unlike every other level you've seen up to this point. You need to really think outside of the box to come up with the answer.

I can tell you right now, that no amount of research or looking at the level over and over again is going to give you the answer. You need to take a giant leap of faith to solve this one.
