Oooh, I forgot to celebrate having completed the trail. That puzzle is very cool, I can't wait for another competition like this.

There doesn't even have to be a prize - does anyone know any other puzzles like this?

Cripes, I feel totally loopy.
I pass Su Doku (thanks for that help, everyone), and now this.

What I've sussed on "Resistance Is Futile" is:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The quote is from the Borg, a la Star Trek.
The colors go to "FF00FFFF00000000FF" in hex.
On a page about resistors (and paintballs), I got violet as 7, red as 2, blue as 6 [726].
I've ignored gold, know there's no letters, and know it involves values.

Have I not just connected the dots, or am I wandering in the dark.
I've looked the topic up and down and I still don't know what to do.
I love nonograms, and feel like I might be able to work around the finale.
Just this one... help me, please?! Crying or Very sad Just something a little more clear?

GasparLewis, you are soooo close!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As darklord says above, you have made a small mistake with the third value. Have another look and you should get it.

Good luck Smile

I looked all over, and I'm still getting that same value for "blue".

But, now I know I'm very, very, very close.
A special little program told me
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
72 MEG ohms and 5% tolerance

So, now I have to just find why it's not what I'm seeing continuously.

I CAN TASTE IT!!!!! Twisted Evil
(And, seriously, thanks you guys. Very Happy )

EDIT: Yeehaw! Score! Picross time!!!!!
Can't thank you guys enough for the nudge!

u can ignore the gold part. Like they said before the blue don't mean 6, it mean 6 somethings Wink. Nearly all resitor pages should tell you what the 3rd valuew represents

oh yeah and make sure you enter the answer as a number

hope that helps Very Happy

Edit: Lol didnt notise your edit. too late to save the day Crying or Very sad. ahh well hopefully next time Razz

Well I have tried every extension I can think of and have had no luck on the last puzzle, so good luck to everyone whose brain works better than mine!
Please can you tell me the answer after the draw has taken place as it's really doing my head in now Crying or Very sad

Thanks!

Fudgemuffins; I'm catty-cornered five feet from the finish line!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Even at the "Enigma" part, all nice and pretty in the hex editor.

Graaar...

I've got too much else on my plate; I suppose I'll have to let it go.
Pity; good luck to everyone else, unless I pull it out in the lurch.
In which case, I hope you all lose. Twisted Evil

Edit: Aha! That's something I needed to hear. Thanks, Av. Hope I can make the squeeze.

ok if u tryed all the extensions you can think off then that means u probs havnt complied it corectly. there were 2 that i tryed that worked. Have you enter the hex code in the right order. enter it going left to right. (e.g. first collum first row, Second collum first row, First collum second row etc.)
that was one person problems

Also if you have windows, it may be set up to close these programs automaticaly when they have finsihed. This means that when the program fished and displayed the sentice, the program closed to fast to read it. This threw off some perople as well.

GasparLewis - you can ignore the enigma part. its kinda a red hering. If you can see it it should mean that you put the code into the hex editor corectly. from there go on to trying to make a file out of it

lol i hope some of you can make scene out of that. ill try and post the answers after the winner has been annoanced

Good luck!
