greywethers.net, gone?

I was just introduced to this enigma, yesterday, and started doing the research. As of this morning, I was still able to navigate to the various existing pages, (vec.html and the equation pages included).
Tonight, all I get is a page that looks like your standard "Domain unused, but here's some links we get paid to post", site.

I looked thru the acrchives and don't see any references to cookies or disabling them, so I suspect, this is a change that happened, today and that it's gone, forever.

Did I miss something that'll let me see these pages again or is it history?

Um, it's still there for me. Perhaps a lapse in server activity?

So it is... I'm on a different machine, today and it looks just like it did when I first saw it.
Hopefully, it was some kind of glitch, as you say. I'll know when I try it on the other box.

EDIT: It's fine on the other machine, so it's back to cipherin'.

Have you found anything yet? I'm 99.99% sure you already know this, but just in case...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
when you've clicked on the frontis.jpg and have been taken to http://www.greywethers.net/wpfd.html and then hit back, you are momentarily taken to what I guess could be described as an "equation page". There are several of them, if you keep clicking back in rapid succession. For instance, one is http://www.greywethers.net/8+18.html and the equations on the page are 9+2=11 and 1+4=5. Also, do you think it's important that the letters v, e, c, h, t, m, l are all greyed out?

The text is talking about a ty[pe of cypher or jumble with the 8 greyed out letters, err 7, there has to be one missing, mess up by the PMs?
Maybe that's it or new idea I just had
I'm thinking that the first text block needs to be solved for a name and then applied to the last three verses.

There was a LOT of previous thought around this enigma.
Go here for details.

Wow, since early 2003? Looks like I have some catching up to do.

This was from the game Chasing the Wish. The game that got me involved with ARGs. It was the one last puzzle we never solved from this game. The was the one place we could not go the one secret we could not know.
At one point there was a green E in the puzzle that dissapeared.

vec.html was the original website that solving the log in puzzle would give us. Dave then put a new easter egg behind the puzzle - not one that would greatly affect the game but a bonus for the one who figured out the puzzle.

Should you be the one to finally figure out this last remaining puzzle to CTW, you will be given the accolades of the ARG community and beautiful people will throw themselves at your feet.

Dave it still is/was a great ride and I am still thankful for being allowed to participate.
