Well, being a member of MySpace myself and knowing the way it operates and having recently been bought out corporately, I would think it in bad form to use that as a contact site. The biggest reason is that you have to sign up for an account and be a "member of the community" in order to do so, but I'm also new to this genre and still learning each day. My guess is it isnt in-game, but I could be wrong.

hey guys. goodness, i've only been away a few days, and all this new stuff popping up! i'm excited now!

ekplixi, as far as i can gather, random martin was one of the people from the old splinterworld website, and he apparently dissapeared sometime around 2003 (i think)

i tried emailing his old email addy once and it failed ... maybe i'll try that again, and maybe try a random_martinSPLATqu13e.com, just for good measure

so has anyone made any sense of the source code on that last page yet? i'm gonna look at it longer once i finish this lousy paper

Yeah, I looked at it and read up on MD5 all day. Its mandatory brute force if you wish to get to it, and even then it is double keyed (1 internal key, 1 external key) My guess would be that it has more to do with the written clues we have been provided unless they have left us at a brick wall until some type of update (which would really drive me crazy after all we have done to figure something, ANYTHING out). If you can make more headway than we have so far, please go ahead.

Things I can verify as fact due to my own actions or clues:

Keeper of Things, Random Martin, and splinternails, referred to as "he".

All of the following addresses are invalid (in the search for the first half of the e-mail clue left for us): Aki, akey, aki.martin, random.martin, qu13e, sparkrent - all with the same mailing domain SPLATqu13e.com

This does not mean that they wont become available in the future, but as of this post all have been tried.

This is random, but it COULD mean something:

In the address to splinternails' blog, the word "oboenai" appears. "Oboenai" is Japanese for, "I don't remember."

I have no clue if that means anything but I'm throwing it out there in case...
