I really hope it wasn't someone from here asking if she sleeps with him, thats uncalled for. But I wish everyone who did "know him" "IRL" wasn't so standoffish. They could at least shed some light on who he was/is to give us a better understanding of what is going on here.

i don't know him irl. if i seem stand offish that is because over the last month 3493840938403 people have contacted me. i am tired of signing on a messenger and get bombarded with tons of messages. that is what makes me stand offish.

there is nothing creepy about it. most people i know online i have met in person. i have yet to meet him, but i miss him..i miss our talks and i miss his emails...that isnt a crime...

because i am trying to make you all understand that i am a friend of his and that i have real feelings and it isnt funny when someone just disappears...its messes with you and your feelings...

i have history..i was friends with him before all of this stuff happend... i wasnt "involved". i had to come here and make it clear that i don't want to be bothered with 9854905840854 emails and ims a day

but it is odd that one moment you say you are OOG and the next
you're going on about your feelings for someone that is, to us,
a fictional character.

and honestly, there aren't that many of us playing this game so your
high number of emails and ims can't be all our doing.

this will be my last post on here.. i am not part of the game... that is final.. and i didnt say that it was all your guys doing here.... but i had to come here and tell you i am not part of this... and im sorry that i was trying to give you alittle background because it bothers me..that he has disappeared..it hurt alot of people.

he is a real person... he isnt a fictional character..
maybe to you guys he is because you are playing a game, but to alot of people he isnt.

Well if random is a real person this begs the question, "why is there a game revolving around him?".

If everybody else that "knew" him is um..... "attached" to him the way decima states she is it might be best to just walk away from this.
Who knows what whoever is running this site is up to.
Are we just pawns being used to find this guy for some obsessed indivdual?
I hope this isn't the case because I really like the site design and the darker mood of this so far. But we would be pretty easy targets given our willingness to jump on these sorts of things.

My question is, if it really is random behind all of this, why would he suddenly disappear two years ago, and then decide to make an ARG (or whatever this thing really is) about himself two years later? However you look at it, it seems a little screwy to me. But i'll wait until the 13th to make up my mind about whether i should stick with this or not.

EDIT: just as a sidenote, ken also said that this seemed alot like random's style, so ... who knows

I've been watching this tread for about a week now, so thought I'd post:

Conserning the number strings in decima's posts:

Not sure if they ARE code, but the numbers jumped out at me while I was reading her post.

3493840938403 and 9854905840854 are THIRTEEN DIGIT numbers.

I don't know anything about codes etc, but as has been mentioned previoulsy here , 13 is a significant number in this ARG. I figure if someone was just bashing the number pad randomly to make a super large number to descirbe the amount of emails/I.M.s they got they would be unlikely to type 13 numbers both times.

Thought I'd point this out as no-one has mentioned it yet...

Been e-mailing with some of you and was asked to join to help get to the bottom of things.

First, name's Ken. Yes I knew Random Martin. First from Live Journal, then in person. Not saying we were great friends or anything, we hung out a few times. Went to a some museums. That's about it.

About two years ago he suddenly disappeared. Deleted his websites, e-mail addresses, phone, everything. Never heard from him since.

Then about two months ago, "splinternails isn't dead" and "www.qu13e.com" grafitti started appearing in Harajuku (city he used to live). Some of you have noted this strange, and it is, but not really for Harajuku. Grafitti "secret" messages are part of the art scene there. Anyway, suspecting it might be him, I placed an ad in a local magazine (also online: http://metropolis.japantoday.com). Some of you found it.

Now I'm here.

Vandino mentioned something's happening the 13th. If something does, I'll stay. Otherwise, I won't.

I'll help however I can, but don't expect too much. I'm not exactly comfortable doing this, but it beats stalking the forum. Wink

welcome, ken.. and thanks for helping.

i'm still curious about those numbers -- i do think there is something there. (and about the idea that the PM or his buddies (not directed at you, ken) are using forum space as game space. i'm not a big "rule" follower but it would get very confusing if this space were used for anything other than player interaction)
