here's the way I see it:

Rosita slept with Ambrose Bierce
She left in the morning, when he wouldn't give her the gun.
WRH entered the room, demanding he gun.
Ambrose Bierce played mind games with WRH to catch him off guard.
Bierce lunged at him and knocked him out.

As Bierce was leaving, he saw Caldwell, who had just had a run-in with Rosita in the alley. He shot Caldwell three times. He then ran downstairs and announced to the Dorados that Mr. Abel (AKA WRH) shot Caldwell.

He walked out of the inn and eventually landed in NYC with Phoebe.

Then George S. Pattons updates.

There is talk of WRH killing Ambrose Pierce.
They all (Patton, Caldwell, Rosita) go upstairs and find Kellie O' Grady over the body of Ambrose Bierce.
As Patton sees Caldwell raise his gun tokill Ms. O Grady, Patton shoots him.

In both stories Caldwell dies (but in each story, a different death)

Ambrose gets away in one story, but dies in another.
WRH gets taken away and accused of something he didn't do in the Ambrose story.

Could this be a mixup? Or is there more to the story, like Ambrose is actually dead and imagining everything after the scuffle with Hearst in his hotel room?

EDIT: I'll be damned, A spec that came true while I was writing the post. lol

Re: Roger

Phaedra wrote:
Roger got very upset and said that he knew there were all sorts of crooked cops in movies and on TV, but that they really weren't like that. And he hung up on me.

Same thing happened to me twice. The first time was before he knew anything disastrous had happened, when he said he was sure that, if someone had sent the S.W.A.T. team, "those guys don't go in for no reason." The second time was after he learned what was really going on, and he said the whole thing was "very regrettable" but had happened "in pursuit of the public good." He sounded really miserable parroting those words.

Phaedra wrote:
Roger was very upset and a bit hyper and started telling me about how he'd always done very well in marathons and on the physical part of law enforcement, but now he was stuck here behind a desk and there were burning buildings and this was really not his thing.

Hilarious! One of the things he told me was that he had come "very close to passing" the FBI's physical test "the first time." I had some difficulty not giggling. Laughing

Phaedra wrote:
But he said that someone had told him that Matt was not in the building.

I said, "oh, okay then," and hung up.

That would have been me Embarassed , trying to be all clever and get the S.W.A.T. team not to go to the building by starting the rumor that Matt wasn't even there. (Hey, we didn't actually know he was there, right?) Of course, then I got the phone call between Ben and Matt, and that was pretty much that. Oops.

So, PadreInferno & JSCaldwell are dead.
Hearst leaves Mexico in shame (no deals with Villa).
Kellie has the gun (escorted back to the US by Lt Patton), hoping to make a different deal (i.e. blackmail) with Hearst to save her ranch.
Major Michael takes Rosita back to the US (in some sort of drug/alcohol induced thoughts that she is his half-breed daughter).

Therefore, Kellie has the gun in 1914. So, how did it get from Kellie to an "old Texan" (unless it the "old Texan" is female Shocked , duh!!).

/me has to go back to update her GUN timeline again.

And hmrpita found Poquito!!!! (She has to tell us how).

New card: Poquito. William seems to be havivng a hell of a time. Lucy to the rescue.

Just so you know, the various spanish is things like 'Don't be afraid, its yummy, there isn't that yummy. Eat.' No names or anything.

Edit: My bad, so late. But apparently its from the papel picado, something about inverting colours and rotating the image.

Oh, and they've updated the muck.

It looks as though we only have 6 more weeks of this fine game.

The GUN is released on Nov 9th in the states. This means that it will go after the release of the game.

Also, the muck looks rather cool now and is turning into more of an ad for GUN

Maybe I'll look through the episodes when I get some time to see how they wrapped it up into neat little packages.

Found by inverting the colors of the paper cutout on Lucy's page, turning it so the the top faces left, and lining it up with the cartoon on Damon's page.
Edit: Or look here for visual evidence.

Are you sure Kellie has the gun? Patton didn't seem inclined to let her leave the room with it.

Quote:
—If you will put that pistol down, Ma'am, Patton said, I will escort you across the border.

—It's my pistol, she said.

—You can't walk down the stairs with a big old horse pistol like that. The Dorados would blow your brains out— and mine.

RE: gun

There's an update on Lucky Brown's page (thedealer)

Quote:
So that's the story of how the Navy Colt came to be waiting for Two-Gun Hart in a Juarez pawnshop, about halfway through its long journey from Jeb Stuart to Lucy Brown.

So Kellie didn't have the gun with her when she went back. It stayed in Juarez.

Perhaps he helped her smuggle it out, but there would be no reason for him to keep it. And he did escort her out of the area "like a tourist". She didn't seem to be worrying about losing the gun during this narrative (like she still had it). And she was so intent on having it earlier, that if it wasn't still in her possession, I think she would have mentioned it.

Or she pawned it for the money (she needed the money).

Bierce's hallucination as he died is a very nice reference to his story An Occurrence at Owl Creek, wherein a hanged man lives a whole experience of escaping and returning to his family as the rope breaks, all within the moment his neck snaps in reality. It was made into a twilight zone episode.

It can be read in its entirely here:
http://eserver.org/fiction/occurrence-at-owl-creek.html

One of the few stories I remember from high school English.

Good call... I believe we should consider Bierce's account to be entirely fictional...

You didn't give the juice of the update (i.e. they really changed the pages and the presention of the info, etc). I think the immediate response (as was mine reading the thread, before getting to the site) was that it was from Saturday's update. I didn't trout you, but I'll apologize for whomever did.

This new Muck is very high tech and helps folks follow the story so far. But the video that appears when you click on The Story of Gun on the home page has some spoilers in it

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i.e. gun fight, Poquito (can't miss him) and Spider (possibly) getting shot, etc.

Raider, why do you think we have 6 more weeks? I'm thinking it wraps up Nov 19th at the LA Graveyard Games.
