[EMAIL] Nov 5 Lucy Email to Devon

With an odd intro - unless they sent this email to mailboxes of people who haven't signed up for the game...

Quote:
This is The Dealer speaking - Lucky Brown. For the last six weeks, a
group of strangers has been coming together to help me save my niece.
If you come to http://www.lastcallpoker.com and watch the Story of the
Gun, you'll see what I mean.

- Try poking around The Muck (http://www.lastcallpoker.com/themuck) to
get a quick sense of what's already happened.
- There's also online poker to be played at Last Call, and friends to
be met. You might find yourself at a table with Pancho Villa or Wild
Bill Hickok or Colton White.
- When I died, I left a provision in my will for Tombstone Hold 'Em
tournaments to be played in cemeteries all over the United States. Learn
the rules and come to one of our Live Events ... or start one of your
own.

Lucy's running out of time, as you will see below, and I'm going to
need your help if she's gonna make it through alive ...

Subject: The Lucky Gun

Devon,

This is going to sound crazy, but I have to tell someone, and when you
said you wouldn't be able to pick up any email for a week, you became
the perfect person.
So here's the thing. When Lucky died, he left me the Gun. Do you
remember it? The J.E.B. Stuart Navy Colt he used to show us when we were
kids. The "lucky" gun, he used to call it.
Only not all the luck is good.
Uncle Robert was murdered for that gun, and he's not the first.
People have died for the Jeb Stuart Colt over and over again. There's a
crooked cop after the Gun now. He's got friends and he's had at least
three people murdered besides Robert and he's coming after me.
I'm sleeping at a Motel 6 now and writing you from a terminal in the
library. I can't trust the cops. I can't trust anybody, really.
Everyone I touch seems to turn up dead or kidnapped or just ... gone.
Devon, I ...

You know what? Probably I'm just making this all up. Probably, when
you read this, there will be another email in your box saying I was
smashed when I wrote it. Yr sister the big fat drama queen.
But if you don't hear from me again, I just wanted you to know.
Sometimes, you know, I seem to slip from poker face to poker heart.
That's the real reason for GA, you know. It isn't the money (though
losing the money sucks). It's when you're twenty-four years old and you
can feel your heart freezing over. Swear to god, penguin boy, if it
wasn't for you and Seth and Zack, I don't know what the hell I would have
turned into.
God damn it, I'm gonna short circuit this stupid keyboard if I keep
crying on it.
Okay, look, enough of that. I have some cards I gotta go play now.
High stakes. No limit.
I always loved you all. Don't know why I couldn't say it.
Bye.

Lucy
