The destiny of online games

An interesting Powerpoint presentation from Raph Koster's blog.

That essay solidified my belief that ARGs are theater, not games. (Thus far, anyway.)

What are ARGs and RPGs and such? Stories that we tell to each other. Remember the camp game of everyone telling one sentence of a story? ARGs are much like that in that someone has to start the next line by finding the clue, solving the puzzle, seeing the meaning in a picture.
