this game seems to b somewhat stagnant so, while i would ask forgiveness if i do post something old and stupid, i would also remind you that not a whole lot is happening right now. with that in mind, this thread doesnt have a whole lot of posts in the way of what has failed, which could probably narrow it down a hell of a lot because then no one would waste time doing what has already failed (perhaps not much has been attempted, i dont know...)

it has been mentioned that every possible combination of 'coffin' does not work as the password for the text at the bottom (at least i think thats what was mentioned, i have no idea about crypto so i may be talking out of my ass)

it has been mentioned that 'egg' is a possible solution to the riddle at the top

it has been mentioned that the solution to the text at the top is possibly a password for the text at the bottom

someone has yet to post about whether 'egg' failed as a password.

(im not a math-major, i have no idea how these work, but what the hell, this game doesnt see many posts these days so let me suggest...)

um....does egg work as the password? if not what about...chicken? or utero? gestation?

"for this locked room, there is no key"

...has someone tried nokey as a password? what about nopassword, or unknown, or passwordless, or lockedroom, or closeddoor, or 0250file,

or i guess if we wanted to go beyond that...the alt text from the page that led us to coffin.html says something about 'turn left turn right turn left behind' ...turn left behind sounds kinda wierd, maybe the password is leftbehind. no idea

..it seems like its easier to solve by guessing passwords than trying to guess what kind of cipher it is...not much has been posted on what has or has not worked...knowledge of what has already been attempted seems way valuable

I suggested in this thread that Caspian or someone else should try NAILS as the password. I though it makes sense to "hit the nails in the coffin", you know?
I have no if follow your heart tried it as he/she was about to.
