My spec: I'm thinking these refer to Viendenbourg. I suspect that Sente et al are mining the remaining Cube material in order to create a gate to Earth, so they'll be able to retrieve the Cube from whoever finds it. The devices we tracked (aside from the hijacked Baker field generator) probably went there.
(This hinges on my belief that the Cube material may be relatively synonymous with Stargate's naqahdah/naqahdria .)

There's nothing there to say that the equipment was being stolen at all. It may just have been hard to get hold of or very expensive to buy and Sente was suffering from budgetary problems?
Spec time. Sente's not stupid. If he was running some operation as part of some underhand secret power operation, why would he and Lara be exchanging mails over the academy e-mail system? I figure he would know enough to use more covert channels.
I think it's more likely that a) Sente is running tests on behalf of the academy/city, and that b) some other party - 3P, say - is running along the same lines, but in less of a position to get easy access to the equipment they need - hence the thefts. A race of info and tech.
There might be a case there, then, for Sente (or whoever's commissioning the work) to be a bit miffed when the parts they need go missing, and then to conduct some sekrit operations to work out who's taking them - hence their offer to Karen, who was feeling the stress cos she didn't really want to know about either of these two "hidden" parties, but still had a job to do.
If that's the case, does it also make sense that there are 2 mining operations going on, one for each party?
Slap me if I'm being obvious/repetitive/dumb.

Another new one to fill in a gap:

I assume you are observing the proper security protocols throughout the facility? Be sure to keep me posted regarding anything anomalous, even if it appears to check out. And make sure your people give me up-to-the-minute reports when the testing begins.

[Spec] That last one might be related to the new symbols and numbers on the cards.

I think it's pretty obvious that they relate to the extra symbols that we have been observing. I think we can safely assume that the card deck symbols, the Risk-stylee markings and the extra numbers were put there by the Third Power.

Or by whoever actually stole the k00b. Cause the 3p didn't get it, did they?
I'm going to have to download the entire wiki to my brain if I'm ever going to make any sense of all this.

I felt that that statement had more truth in it than anything I have ever read on these forums concerning PXC. XD

Ooooh. That's a new one, almost definitely. And I desperately want the rest of the conversation.

Boss, I am way ahead of you. But the glitches in the system are still too intense. Things don't work here like they do over there. The whole thing has to be rebuilt from the sockets up, and even then I can't guarantee any sort of result. Even reversing the polarity of the neutron flow get me nowhere

It was Violets birthday last saturday - she is now 27! A great age to be even if I do say it myself.
And my best guess would be Kurt gave her that present

Nah, cause Kurt would be on the CRT mail group. And even Tippy isn't that tactless...
[tiag]I'm close to complete on a few card groups, hopefully I'll pick up some more email fragments over the weekend[/tiag]
