I would really appreciate it if somebody could put together a timeline of what entries popped up in order for the endgame stuff that just happened. I was in a metting the whole time and missed it all. If I poke around on my own now, I'll find it all out of order.
Grumble grumble grumble.

So what's saturday? the afterparty?
I'd hazard a guess that it will be sort of like the ILB SF endgame event + Tombstone Poker-- PMs come out from behind the curtain, everyone plays poker as opposed to Halo, and there's a puzzle or treasure hunt leading to a farewell message from Lucky.
Or so I SPEC.

In no particular order:
(1) Matt's been living on the street and hating it. Simon finds him and, at his request, takes him home. (His own home, not Simon's.)
(2) Kerry listens to a bunch of messages on his answering machine. He has the Gun rigged to explode if it is fired, and in the process finds a small leather bag hidden in the grips.
(3) Kerry, Don, and Lucy meet, and Kerry has them play poker for the Gun. Lucy goes all-in with a pair of sevens -- even though she figures Don has a flush -- because she refuses to play poker for the amusement of a psychotic killer. Don calls, and he does have the flush and wins. He takes the Gun, aims at Lucy, and...
(4) The Gun is blown to pieces. Kerry draws his own gun and kills Don. He also gives Lucy the little bag, which turns out to be full of dust. Lucy drives off into the sunset.
(5) Postscript: Lucky confesses that he found the diamonds when he got the Gun back in 1945 (as you yourself were the first to speculate in one of the Tournament games some weeks ago ). In accordance with the terms of Lucky's will, some of his ashes were in that little bag.
No word on Corazon.

Just about made me cry....
Quote:
I found the diamonds right after the War. Sold them and used the money to set myself up in this and that. I figured out pretty quick that the Gun had a special history of its own, but I didn't need more money, so I kept it as my good luck charm. I guess that's what they call 'irony.'
I always kept the little bag, too, and put instructions in my will so that when I died and was cremated, a little of the ash would go into the bag, and the bag would go back in the gun. A joke, I guess you could call it. The Lucky gun.
But more than that, too. I loved that girl, in my own cranky way. But she didn't want to be a Gambler anymore. Wouldn't have anything to do with me. Wouldn't take my money. Wouldn't take my time.
So all I had left to give her was … myself.
Wow. Best epitaph yet.

Based on Don's prior behavior there was no way he was going to let Lucy leave that room alive. He just went for Kerry first because he knew that Lucy had been disarmed, and he knew that Kerry was packing. My view is that Kerry DID save Lucy's life...ending the curse.

The audio of whatitcosts.wav implies that after having Kerry sit back down and keep his hands where Don can see them, Don turned his attention and gun back to Lucy.

But Kerry set up the whole damn thing putting her life in jeopardy in the first place. And then he disarmed both of them, Don literally, so what was he going to kill Lucy with, a bloody stump? I am so confused about this curse thing.
