cipher.html was updated - I can't remember what it looked like before - with a footnote.
The picture's alt text "A piece of music is displayed inside of the image borders." friendly reminds us that this is supposed to be music, although it certainly doesn't look like it.

There's another footnote.
That looks even less like music. The alt text is somewhat admitting this: "Additonal notations are revealed in the image."

The only thing vaguely familiar is that mysterious number 070586 in the first picture.
Actually, that was 080586. What is up with that?
Could it be a date? And in this case the notation might be day-month-year instead of month-day-year, because 070586 and 080586 should be consecutive days, I guess.

Well, ok, the first picture is morse code for Help me please .
The rest probably is morse as well.

alt_notation.jpg, first line:
arrow down-and-right = dot
arrow up-and-left = dash
arrow down = blank
translates to
Why am I cursed to hold the key?

Dots are on the top, dashes on the bottom. The trick is figuring out how they are spaced.

Code:

1 = C = 262 Hz
2 = D = 294
3 = F = 349
4 = G = 392

Using that we get

Could that be what the *music* means? Remember those musical notations where CAT, BAG etc? But then am not musically inclined. I'm just winging it here. Just an idea Smile
